Earnest Guy Sandlin, age 83, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Monday, April 30th, 2012, at the Golden Living Centers in Winfield, Alabama.
Visitation, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening, May 1st, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012, at New Hope FW Baptist Church. The body will lie-in-state from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to funeral service. Burial in New Hope Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.
Mr. Sandlin was born August 26th, 1928, in Marion County, Alabama to the late Murk and Sivola Clark Sandlin. He lived most of his life in and around the Byrd Community of Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Sandlin; 1 daughter, Debbie (Ricky) Sullins; 1 sister, Sara McKay; nieces, nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murk and Sivola Clark Sandlin; 2 brothers, George Truett Sandlin and Edward Sandlin; and 1 granddaughter, Kelley Sullins.
