William Lonnie “Jr” Karr, Jr., of Detroit, Alabama (the Byrd Community)

Age:  74

Born:  July 4, 1926, near Detroit, Alabama to the late Rev. William Lonnie Karr Sr. and Hattie Gilliland Karr.

Died:  Sunday, October 22, 2000, in the Marion Regional Medical Center in Hamilton, Alabama.

Visitation:  6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2000, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama.

Funeral Service:  2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2000, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel, Hamilton, Alabama.

Burial:  Rudicell Cemetery near Detroit (Marion County), Alabama.

Officiating:  Rev. Jim Elliott, Rev. Howard Simmons, and Rev. Lyndon Vann

Pallbearers were Bobby Bray, Bill Karr, Dewayne Karr, Lewis Karr, Roger Karr, Edwin Markham, and Gerald Mixon.

Wife of 52 Years:  Frances Markham Karr, Detroit, AL.

Daughter:  Patricia Karr (Gerald) Hughes, Beaverton, AL.

Great-Grandson:  William Hughes Tomlin, Clarksville, TN.

Bio:  He was a farmer and was retired from NTN Bower. He was a veteran of World War II.
