Ms. Jean Weeks, age 75, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away on Monday, December 12th, 2005, at her daughter’s residence in Winfield, Alabama.
Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 14th, 2005, at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel, Sulligent, Alabama. Bro. Keith Box officiating. Burial in Beaverton Memorial Cemetery, Beaverton, Lamar County, Alabama.
Ms. Weeks was born February 11th, 1930, in Lee County, Mississippi, to the late A. B. and Mozelle Herndon. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Greenwood Springs Manufacturing where she had worked for a number of years.
She is survived by 2 sons, Roy Kenneth (Dwan) Weeks, Hamilton, AL., and Michael Ray Weeks, Hamilton, AL.; 2 daughters, Sonya (William) Allred, Winfield, AL., and Debra Jean (Donald) Moore, Winfield, AL.; 9 grandchildren, Shauna Shaffer, Andrew Moore, Jeff Webb, Jason Knight, Bridgett Fry, Bryan Weeks, Scott Weeks, Mark Weeks, and Ashley Duke; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 on-the-way; 1 brother, Marvin Herndon, Hodges, AL.; 3 sisters, Christine Eubanks, Carthage, MS., Doris Belk, Tupelo, MS., and Reba Graf, Kansas City, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A.B. and Mozelle Herndon; her husband, Roy Thomas Weeks; 1 brother, Hansel Herndon; 1 sister, Frances Devoe; and special friend, Smoky Joe.
