Mr. John Hillard Holloway, age 64, of Detroit, Alabama (formerly of Hamilton, AL), passed away Monday, November 16, 2009 at Marion Regional Medical Center in Hamilton, Alabama.
Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009, Pleasant Site Freewill Baptist Church. Richie Redmon, Ritchie Dubielak, and Barry Cook officiating. Burial in Cooper Cemetery, Marion County, Alabama.
John Holloway was born May 20, 1945, in Marion County, AL. to the late Woodrow and Inez Parker Holloway. He worked with NTN Bower as a Machine Operator. He attended Hamilton High School in Hamilton, AL.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Sanderson Holloway; children, Donna (Wade) Nichols, Shawn (Stephanie) Holloway, and Johnny (Frances) Grant; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Inez Parker Holloway; 1 sister, Frances Elizabeth Tucker; infant sister and grandson.
