(A Personal Note!) Today, I was privileged to be able to attend my cousin’s funeral service! It was an uplifting and a tearful experience, both at the same time. Jo Ann Rye, married my first cousin, Clark Rye when I was only 8 or 9 years old. Since that time, she was ‘my beautiful cousin’…not only that but she was married to ‘my very own Handsome cousin’ as well.  I remember when they were dating. I thought she was one of the most beautiful girls I had ever seen! And I am still right! She has always been beautiful on the inside as well as the outside! Jo Ann fought a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer for many years and just when the cancer seemed to win by taking her from her loved ones, She really did win the battle by being taking into God’s loving arms! “55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. – 1st Corinthians 15:55-57 KJV (Judy Webb Mays, Obituaries Editor)
