Ms. Connie Goggans Lochridge, age 92, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at the Marion Regional Medical Center in Hamilton, Alabama.

Visitation, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama. Funeral service, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, following visitation, at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial in Hamilton Memory Gardens, Hamilton, Alabama.

Ms Lochridge was born March 31, 1919, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Pearce and Hattie Lawhon Goggans. She was a Homemaker.

She is survived by 2 sons, Barry Lochridge, and Mick (Lisa) Lochridge; 8 grandchildren, Dana, Matthew, Ian, Cameron, Richard, Mike, Andy, & Steve; 1 sister, Omeda Holloway; and 3 great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Brody, & Ethan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lochridge; her parents, Pearce and Hattie Lawhon Goggans; 1 brother, R.P. Goggans; and 2 sisters, Jean Alred and Evelyn Jackson.

Alton R. Sanderson, age 69, of Hackleburg, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his residence.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Thursday evening, January 19, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama.  Lie-in-State from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 20th at the Hackleburg First Baptist Church in Hackleburg, Alabama with Funeral service to follow at 2:00 at the church.  Steve Lawrence officiating.  Burial in Winston Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Sanderson was born February 5th, 1942, in Marion County, Alabama, to George Dewey and Eula Mae Belk Sanderson.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lillie Sanderson; 4 children, Debra (Michael) Suess, Richard Sanderson, Roger (Sharon) Sanderson, and Wendy David Hamilton; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, Raburn (Jewell) Sanderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Dewey and Eula Mae Belk Sanderson; and 1 step-brother, Phillip Ferguson.

Mr. Jesse Joiner, Jr., of Sheffield, Alabama, a former beloved band director at Hamilton High School, passed away the morning of January 17th, 2012.

Mr. Johnson was born December 14, 1963, in Rockford, Illinois, to Harold Lee Johnson and the late Lavace Ann Sands Johnson.  He was the Owner & Operator of Prime Time Pizza in Normal, Illinois.  He was a member of Tri-Lakes Sportsman Club in Bloomington, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Johnson; his father, Harold L. Johnson; 1 brother, Christopher Johnson; and 1 sister, Sheila (Rick) Ross.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lavace Ann Sands Johnson; and 1 brother, Lavon Lynn Johnson.

James “Mike” McNutt, age 64, of Winfield, Alabama (formerly of Gas City, Indiana), passed away Wednesday night, January 11, 2012, at his residence.

Visitation, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2011 at the Bowen Funeral Home, Winfield, Alabama.  Funeral service, 4:00 p.m., January 14th following visitation at the Bowen Funeral Home, Winfield, Alabama.  Bro. Bryan Spiller officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Gas City, Indiana.

Mr. McNutt was the son of the late Melvin and Opal Cooper Russell McNutt.  He was a Viet Nam Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a Police Officer in Gas City, Indiana for 23 years.

He is survived by wife, Katherine “Kathy” Westbrook McNutt; 4 children, Michele (Allen) McMurry, Gas City, IN., Jennifer (Greg) Littke, Ft. Wayne, IN., Jennifer Reed, Brilliant, AL., and Thomas Wyninger, Winfield, AL.; 3 grandchildren, Caleb Michael Wright, Nathan Thomas Kinder, and Kylie Madison Hancock; 1 brother, Larry McNutt, Elwood, IN.; and a very special friend, Al Pilkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Opal Cooper Russell McNutt; a wife, Joan Christine McNutt; and 1 brother, Melvin “Bill” McNutt.

Mechelle Howell Henderson, age 44, of Winfield, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012.

Ms. Henderson was a lifelong member of the Winfield Church of Christ and a 1986 graduate of Winfield City High School.  She was a member of the Modern Elite Club, the National Realtors Association, and the Alabama Board of Realtors.

She is survived by 1 daughter, MeKenzi Henderson and her father, Tim, Winfield, AL.; her parents, Phillip and Danna Howell, Winfield, AL.; 2 sisters, Roxanne (Mark) Cochran, and Melissa (Boyd) Pate, both of Winfield, AL.; 2 adopted brothers, David and Adam Howell of Winfield, AL.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Hansel Hill “Squirrel” Simmons, age 69, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Hamilton, Alabama.

Visitation, 9:45 – 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2012, graveside, at Memorial Garden Cemetery, West Point, Mississippi.  Graveside funeral service, 10:00 a.m., at the cemetery, following visitation.  E. Scott Allen officiating, and assisted by Dr. John Kerr.  Burial in Memorial Garden Cemetery, Hwy. 45 Alt. North, West Point, Mississippi.

Mr. Simmons was born February 8, 1942 in Montpelier, Mississippi, to the late William Louis and Ruby Hill Simmons.  He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1962 until 1966.  Hansel Hill “Squirrel” Simmons married Margie Nell Wallace on June 6, 1980, at the Christ United Methodist Church in West Point, Mississippi.

He attended the Montpelier Schools.  He worked as an air-conditioning technician for 31 years and had served as an instructor for 6 years at East MS. Community College.  “Squirrel” was employed at the Columbus Air Force Base as Mechanical Superintendant for 17 years and was owner and co-founder of Everlasting Monument Company and Cemetery Services while in West Point, Mississippi.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Nell Wallace Simmons, Hamilton, AL.; 3 sons, Kelly Sherman (Rachel) Simmons, Birmingham, AL., Curtis (DeAnna) Simmons, West Point, MS., and James Patrick (Lorea) Perkins, Oxford, MS.; 1 daughter, Tina Marie Perkins, Hamilton, AL.; 6 grandchildren, Ashley Simmons (T.C.) Wooten, Jacob Simmons, Kate Perkins, Anna Claire Perkins, Justin Perkins, and Ryan Perkins; 2 great-grandchildren, Bradie Wooten, and Charlie Wooten; and 1 brother, Jasper (Pat) Simmons, West Point, MS.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Curtis Simmons in 1977; 2 brothers, Charles H. Simmons, and Sammy Simmons.

She is survived by 3 children, Janet (Jeff) Mobley, Roger Treece, and Marilyn (Doug) Cook; 3 grandchildren, Janna (Greg) Miller, Nathan Cook, and Laura (Justin) Fleming; 4 great-grandchildren, Logan, Alexis, Nadia, and Rayne; 1 sister, Jewel Jackson; 1 brother, Vessmer (Turlene) Avery; 1 brother-in-law, Darrel (Mary) Treece; and 1 sister-in-law, Judy Treece.
