Ms. Virginia Ann Reese Baggett, age 73, of Alabaster, Alabama, formerly of Winfield, Alabama, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama.

Mrs. Irene Mays Trull, age 93, of Winfield, Alabama, passed away Friday evening, February 24, 2012, at her residence.
Visitation, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., until service time, Monday, February 27, 2012, at the funeral home. Funeral Services, 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 27, 2012, Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, Winfield, Alabama. Dr. Charles Ballew and Bro. Danny Williams officiating. Burial in Winfield City Cemetery.
Mrs. Trull is survived by her son, Glenn (Shirley) Mays, Winfield, AL.; 1 sister, Lona Garner, Winfield, AL.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Emmett Mays, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mr. William Bradley “Bill” May, age 90, of Guin, AL passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Veterans Hospital in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Macedonia Cemetery. The visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, February 24 from 1 until 2:00 PM.
Mr. May was born March 27, 1921 in Lamar County, AL to the late Lee Grady and Kattie Pennington May. Mr. May was married to his wife, Virginia, for 69 years. He previously worked for Anchor-Hocking in Libertyville, Illinois. Mr. May was a veteran of the United States army. He enjoyed fishing and bowling, where he was the captain of the bowling team. Mr. May also collected coins.

Mr. Ricky Dale Otts, age 50, of Birmingham, AL, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Funeral services will be Friday, February 24, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Bro. Keith Rhudy will be officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
Mr. Otts was born February 1, 1962 in Lamar County, Alabama to Tommy B. and Jewel Banks Crawford Otts. He was a member of Freewill Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Otts was a 1980 graduate of Lamar County High School and a graduate of the University of Alabama. He worked at Double Tree Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Otts was an avid photographer and free lance artist.

Roger Dale Nixon, age 64, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Friday, January 17, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Mr. Nixon was the son of Audie and Myrdice Nixon. He was a member of the Class of 1965 at Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sanderson Nixon; 4 children, Erin (Jim) Howell, Kevin Nixon, Megan (Juster) Faulf, and Daniel Nixon; 1 grandchild, Brooklyn Paige Nixon; 1 sister and 4 brothers, Joyce (Joe) Baker, Dwight (Martha) Nixon, Stanley Nixon, Steve (Kay) Nixon, and David (Susan) Nixon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Audie and Myrdice Nixon.
