J.C. Palmer, age 87, of Hackleburg, Alabama, passed away Friday night, March 30, 2012, at his residence.

Visitation, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2012, at the Hackleburg First Baptist Church in Hackleburg, Alabama.  Funeral service, 3:00 p.m., at the Hackleburg First Baptist Church, following visitation Sunday, April 1, 2012.  Burial in Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg, Alabama.

Mr. Palmer was born August 16, 1924 in Texas to Joe F. Palmer and Ethel M. Lewis Palmer.

He is survived by his wife, Mae Palmer; children, Gary & Ann Claire, Kathleen Robe Wade & Nancy, Justin & Brittany, Lacy, Katie, Jessica, Jeremy & Amberley, Sharron, & Dale, Jill, Cole & Molly, Brooks, David & Kim, John David, Callie, and Kinsley; brothers, Olen & Essie, Fage, Riley & Virginia, Jerry & Carolyn; with a host of nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother & father; 2 brothers, Clyde, and Billy Joe; and 1 sister, Lessie.
