Ernest Hugh Galbreath, Sr., age 83, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, May 30th, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Visitation, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31st, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel, Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 1st, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel, Hamilton, Alabama.  Burial in Galbreath Cemetery, Hwy. 19 N., Weston, Marion County, Alabama.

Mr.Galbreath was born January 9th, 1929, in Marion County, Alabama to the late Dock and Edna Seay Galbreath.  He was retired.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Pat Hill, and Jeannie Galbreath; 1 son, Ernie Galbreath; and a host of grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Willodean Emerson Galbreath; 1 daughter, Lori Nina Galbreath Stockton; 1 son, Terry Galbreath; and his parents, Dock and Edna Seay Galbreath.

Auzie Robert Cook, age 84, of Lakeland Florida, formerly of Detroit, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 29th, 2012, at his residence due to heart failure.

Lakeland, FL – Visitation, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31st, 2012, at North Lakeland Baptist Church. Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., following visitation, at the church.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Former Staten Islander Auzie Robert Cook, 84, of Lakeland, Fla., a retired service technician who served as a trustee of his church, died Tuesday at home.

Born in Alabama, he attended Hamilton High School there and moved to Midland Beach in 1948, where he lived for 15 years. He also lived in New Brighton and Mariners Harbor before settling in Florida in 1987.

Mr. Cook was a service technician for Bob Mims Heating and Air on Staten Island for many years, retiring in 1992.

He enjoyed fishing at Midland Beach and at Wolfe’s Pond Park, and was a member of the Willowbrook Baptist Church, where he was a trustee.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn from 1947 to 1950.

His grandson, Tim, died in 2011.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Frances Marie Cook; five sons, A. Robert Jr., Thomas, John, Philip and James; two daughters, Nora Galbraith and Susan Burns; three sisters, Ora Gilmore, Edna Dupree and Ruby Inman; two brothers, Sonny and Floyd Cook; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral was this morning from the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home in Lakeland, with a mass at 11 a.m. at North Lakeland Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery in Hamilton, Ala.**

Talmage “Ted” B. G. Bowling, age 78, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, May 30th, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Winfield, Alabama.

Visitation, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home, Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral service, 4:00 p.m., following visitation at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial in Palmer Cemetery, Weston, Marion County, Alabama.

Mr. Bowling was born February 2nd, 1934, in Alabama, to the late Ralph and Margaret Cox Bowling.  He was retired.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bowling; 2 daughters, Valerie (Michael) Giddy, and Kamara (Sean) Davis; 1 granddaughter, Andrey Giddy; 2 sisters, Verth Gaye (Ed) Cope, and Patricia (Paul) Mamsell; with a host of brother-in-laws; and nieces and nephews.

He wes preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Margaret Cox Bowling; 1 daughter, Holly Bowling; and 1 sister Gertha Rae Hester.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Mae Dean (Clyde) Harris; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Doyle (Mary Nell) Peterson, and Jean (Vivian) Peterson; 1 sister, Dollie Pipkins; 1 step-son, Damen (Eva Dell) Williams.

She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Ben Williams, and Bob Gomillion; 6 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 son, Othell Williams; and 1 great-grandson, Justin Fikes.

Eva E. Holloway, age 84, of Hamilton, Alabama , passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Marion Regional Medical Center in Hamilton, Alabama.

She was born August 17, 1927, in Hamilton, Alabama, to Matt and Lydia Spence Taylor.

Ms. Holloway is survived by 1 daughter, Theda (Ed) Phinney; 2 grandchildren, Douglas Phinney, and Heather Phinney; 1 brother, Erskin (Eulene) Taylor; 1 sister, Cuple Gann; 1 sister-in-law, Gloria Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Holloway; parents, Matt and Lydia Spence Taylor; 2 brothers, James Taylor, and Thomas Doyes Taylor; and 1 sister, Dorothy Allen.

Mr. James Junior “Jamie” Tuck, age 59, of Beaverton, AL, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Generations of Vernon. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Barnesville Cemetery. Bro. Edward Puckett and Bro. Mike Franklin will be officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
Pallbearers will be: Brandy Crow, Gary Watson, Herlen Taylor, Tony Woodruff, Agee McRenolds, Steve Nix, and Rodney Watson.
Tr. Tuck was born on January 1, 1953 in Marion County, AL to the late Raymond and Elzie Carter Tuck. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith. Mr. Tuck enjoyed being with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to church and going to work. Mr. Tuck also enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley music and taking care of his dogs.
