Richard L. Beasley, age 64, of Winfield, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 15th, 2012 at his residence.

Visitation, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, Winfield, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17th, 2012 at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Randy Wright, Bro. Danny Williams, and Bro. Wayne Overton officiating.  Burial in Brilliant Memorial Gardens, Brilliant, Alabama.  Pallbearers, Jerry Wates, Mark McDonald, Boyd Pate, Jimmy Dale Miles, Bill Overton, and Larry Box.

Mr. Beasley was a 1966 graduate of Winfield City High School, and retired from P & M Mining Co. after 35 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Flippo Beasley; 2 sons, Richard Kevin (Cynthia) Beasley of Arley, AL., and John Joseph (Carol) Beasley of Winfield, AL.; 2 grandchildren, Abigail Grace Beasley and John Isaac Beasley; 1 brother, Ronnie Beasley; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leburn and Hilda M. Duncan Beasley; and 1 brother David Beasley.

Louis Dolan Brumley, age 84, of Hodges, Alabama passed away Friday, May 18th, 2012, at his residence.

Visitation, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 20th, 2012, at Mt. Olive Church.  Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, at Mt. Olive Church, following visitation.  James Nichols officiating.  Burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Mr. Brumley was born October 18, 1927, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Trentis Justis and Matter Covoline Orr Brumley.

He is survived by 1 son, Larry Brumley; 2 daughters, Sherlene (Jeff) Philp, and Carolyn Brumley; 3 grandchildren, Chris Brumley, Robert & Johnathan Hammitt; and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Vivalene Brumley; 1 daughter, Ramona Diane Brumley; and 1 sister, Tootsie Stovall.

Recie E. Dorman, 82, of Montgomery passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 after a brief illness.  She was born in Gu-Win, Alabama on November 27, 1929 and lived there most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Dorman. Survivors include her beloved sister, Wilma Millican of Montgomery; Nephew: Rickey (Brenda) Burleson of Hamilton, Al.; great neices: Kim (William) Vinson of Hamilton, Al.; Nicole (David) Merritt, of Auburn, Al; Leigh Jones, of Montgomery. Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Eastern Meadows Church of Christ with Pastor Steve Housley and Pastor Roger Deal officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am.  Graveside services will be at 2 pm on Thursday at West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win, Alabama. Pallbearers are James Hilyer, Tim Bagents, Brooks Housley, Bill Creel, Alan Kaye, Tom Neal, and Nate McCall.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Eastern Meadows Church of Christ Building Fund. Macy Bozeman, age 85, of Guin, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 15th, 2012 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, Alabama.

Visitation, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, Guin, Alabama.  Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, Guin, Alabama.  Bro. Mark Riggs and Bro. James Carrington officiating.  Burial in Liberty FWB Cemetery.

Ms. Bozeman was born in Guin, Alabama,  April 3, 1927 to the late William Marvin and Paula Aldridge Bozeman.  She had lived in the Pea Ridge Community all of her life and was a member of the Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by 1 sister, Tommie Lou Martin of Guin, AL.; 1 brother, Morgan Riley Bozeman of Guin, AL.; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Marvin and Paula Aldridge Bozeman; 1 sister, Lillian Lynch; and 3 brothers, Theron, Ray and Fred Bozeman.

Deborah Ann Kittrell, age 58, of Sulligent, Alabama passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at her residence.

Visitation, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Norwood Funeral Home, Sulligent, Alabama.  Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Mt. Hebron Methodist Church.  Bro. Stephen Cantrell officiating.  Burial in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

Ms. Kittrell was born in Michigan to the late Robert Francis Lulfs and Barbara Ann Ladd Lulfs. Deborah was of the Catholic Faith and had lived in the Sulligent area since 1981. She had worked for Glenn Enterprise and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Kittrell of Sulligent, AL.; her mother, Barbara Ann Lulfs of Port Charlotte, FL.; 1 daughter, Alyssa (Kevin) Brown of Caledonia, MS.; 2 sons, Patrick Kittrell and Matthew (Nichole) Kittrell all of Guin, AL.; 1 sister, Pamela Bass of Port Charlotte, FL.; 2 brothers, Tim Lulfs of Austin, TX., and Scott Lulfs of Jupiter, FL.; 4 grandchildren, Tanner Jacobs, Abby Jacobs, Ashlyn Jacobs and Ivan Kittrell; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Francis Lulfs and Barbara Ann Ladd Lulfs.

James Hester Wooten, age 80, of Hackleburg, Alabama, passed away Friday evening, May 11th, 2012 at the Russellville Hospital in Russellville, Alabama.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Sunday evening, May 12th, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama.  The body will lie in state from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 13th, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church, with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the church.  Burial in Union Hill Cemetery, Hackleburg, Alabama.

Mr. Wooten was born February 16, 1932, in Franklin County, Alabama to Phil and Molly Killer Wooten.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Wooten; sons, David (Sheila) Wooten, and Randy (Jody) Wooten; grandchildren, Brandy (Jonathon) Upton, Adam (Jennifer) Wooten, Casey Wooten; step-grandchildren, Brianna (Jermy) Howell, and Kristin Ryleigh; great-grandchild, Elijah Upton; and sister, Nellie Stanfield.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda; mother, Molly Wooten; father, Phil Wooten; sister, Burnie; and brothers, Willie, Oscar, and Orbin.

Ruby Louise Parr Jones, age 83, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Saturday, May 11th, 2012, at Marion Regional Nursing Home, Hamilton, Alabama.

Ms Jones was born March 16th, 1929, to the late Clarence & Ruby Parr.  She was disabled.

Ms. Jones is survived by 3 children, Mary Nash, Janice Robbins & Roger, and Wayne Jones; 1 brother, Willford (Ann) Parr; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews & other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Jones; her parents, Clarence & Ruby Parr; 1 sister, Joyce Parr; 1 brother, James Parr; 1 grandson, Tim Nash; and 1 son-in-law, Joel Nash.

Mr. Larry Wayne Barnett, age 61, of Winfield, Alabama, passed away Sunday, May 6th, 2012, at the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, Alabama.

Visitation, 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. (Noon), Tuesday, May 8th, 2012, at Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, Winfield, Alabama.  Funeral service, 12:00 p.m., (Noon), immediately following visitation at the funeral home.  Burial in Brilliant Memorial Gardens, Brilliant, Alabama.

Mr. Barnett is survived by 2 daughters, Stephanie Ann McDonald of Winfield, AL., and Jennifer Nicole Barnett of Russellville, AL.; 2 sisters, Linda Mae Elliott of Winfield, AL., and Annette Hendrix of Guin, AL.; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Pedersen, Julie McDonald, Brandon Barnett, Brittney Barnett, Brooke Barnett, and Angel Barnett; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; 2 close nieces, Barbara Humbers and Tina Stewart; and 1 nephew David Westbrooks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Obie C. Barnett and Maylen Frances Fisher Barnett; and 1 brother, Bobby Joe Barnett.

In lieu of flowers, the family request live potted plants, to be planted in Larry’s garden in his memory, or donations may be made to the Cancer Treatment Center of Northwest Alabama in Winfield.

She is survived by 5 daughters, Eula (Faires) Jones of Montgomery, AL., Clara Logan Price of Montgomery, AL., Robeana (Steve) Green of Brilliant, AL., Darius (Randall) Rawls of Brilliant, AL., and Rachel (John) Hitt of Abilene, TX.; 1 sister, Pearlie Bailey Lockler of Mobile, AL.; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Logan was preceded in death by her husband, Quinn Logan; 4 sons, Flavil, Huey, Jerry, and an infant son; 1 grandson, Anthony Logan; her parents, Griffin James and Lucilla Bailey, and 3 sisters, Edith Grissom, Bertie Bailey and Mona Bailey.

Mrs. Patsy “Pat” May, age 74, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Fayette Medical Center, Fayette, Alabama.

Mrs. May was born December 24, 1937 in Chicago, IL to the late Marvin and Eleanor Russell Marsh. She was a member of Mulberry Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. May was married for 57 years to Robert May. She enjoyed fishing and taking care of her grandchildren.
