Raymond was born May 8th, 1932, in Lamar County, Alabama to the late Floyd and Cora Carrouth White.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Korean War.  When his tour was up in the service, Raymond came back to Hamilton in Marion County, Alabama where he and his sweetheart Martha Ann Webb were married September 14th, 1956.  He worked for a time at Ogden’s store in Sulligent, Alabama, then acquired a job at 3M in Guin, Alabama where he was a member of the 3M Club and worked until he retired as a Supervisor.  He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion and he was a long-standing member of the Mt. Hebron Methodist Church in his hometown of Beaverton, Alabama.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Webb White, Beaverton, AL.; 1 son, Charles Raymond (Sheri) White, Winfield, AL.; 1 daughter, Melanie Susan White (Jim) Hughes, Pelham, AL.; 3 sisters, Beatrice White Peoples (Eugene) Reeves, Guin, AL., Martha White (Agee) McReynolds, Vernon, AL., and Verla White (and the late Willie) Stephenson of Aberdeen, MS.; 4 grandchildren, Christopher White, Adam White, David Hughes, and Katie Hughes; also 3 sisters-in-law, Bernice Webb Mills, Peggy Webb King, and Judy Webb Mays (Don Gann); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Personal Note from the Author:
Raymond was technically my brother-in-law, but in reality, he was my brother, helper, friend, and advisor for 56 years of my 64 years on this earth.  If I needed to know how to do something, I asked Raymond and if he didn’t know how, he found out for me!  There are now and have been in my life, a lot of good men, (i.e. my daddy, Grady L. Webb, my brother Don, my husband, Gary, my friend, Kenneth, and now, my Don Gann, all great men!) but there will never be another Raymond White!  He was truly a Godly man who looked after and guided his family (all of us) as the Holy Scriptures directs men to do!  He is going to be missed by all who knew and loved him and will be remembered always.  Judy Webb Mays
