Ms. Lola Abbott Brewer, age 61, of Hackleburg, Alabama, passed away Friday, September 7th, 2012, at her residence.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8th, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel, Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 9th, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel, Hamilton.  Hollis Boyd officiating.  Burial in Palmer Cemetery, Hamilton/Weston, Marion County, Alabama.

Ms. Brewer was born August 3rd, 1951, in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late William and Pearlene Abbott.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil Brewer; 4 children, Gala (Edward) Salyers, C.W. (Tonya) Brewer, Geneva (Jeremiah) Parker, and Dianne (Jamie) Clay; 6 grandkids, Savannah (Bill) Bates, Kelly (Jason) Evans, Allen Austin, Tyler & Peyton Parker, and Kim (Matt) Guin; 2 great-grandkids, Hannah Bates, and Kloe Guin; 5 brothers, Clifton Abbott, Jerry (Dianne) Abbott, Hugh Don Abbott, Ivan (Annette) Abbott, and Ricky (Fay) Abbott; 2 sisters, Gloria Mae Copeland, and Louise Abbott; with a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearlene Abbott.

Ms. Nelda June Harris Barnes, age 56, of Guin, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, September 5th, 2012, near her residence.

Visitation, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 10th, 2012, at Norwood Funeral Home in Guin, Alabama.  Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel.  Bro. Mark Maddox and Bro. Donald Kivette officiating.  Burial in the Guin City Cemetery, Guin, Marion County, Alabama. 

Ms. Barnes was born in Jasper, Alabama, to the late James Elvis and Annie Mae Webb Harris.  She attended the Mt. Willing Free Will Baptist Church and the Guin Free Will Baptist.  She loved arts and crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.  Nelda was a nursing assistant for many years and enjoyed helping others.

She is survived by her husband, Freddy Wayne Barnes; 1 daughter, Jamie (Jody) Robinson; and 1 step-daughter, April Barnes, all of Guin, AL.; 1 step-son, Joshua Barnes of Haleyville, AL.; 5 brothers; James Eddie Harris of Guin, AL., Charles Dennis Harris of Guyton, GA., Joseph Berry Harris of Clyo, GA., Jack Randle Harris of Guin, AL., and Stephen Jeffery Harris of Hamilton, AL.; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Elvis and Annie Mae Webb Harris; and 1 sister, Carol Ann Harris.

Ms. Tammy Rena Miles Harper, age 50, of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, September 2nd, 2012, at Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville, Alabama.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.Thursday, September 6th, 2012, at Sardis Church #1 on County Road 17 in Lynn, Alabama.  Funeral Service, 12:00 p.m. (Noon), Friday, September 7th, 2012, at the church.  Burial in Sardis #1 Cemetery.

Ms. Harper was born May 14th, 1962, to Hollis Blake and Estelle Patterson Miles.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Harper; 4 children, Phillip Miles, Alisha (Jeremy) Nix, Hugh Harper, and Nikki Harper; 3 grandchildren, Dylan Miles, Kaylei Miles, and Jela Nix; 1 brother, Hollis Ray Miles, (Susan), and David (Cora) Miles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis Blake Miles & Estelle Miles; and 1 brother, Danny Miles.

Mr. Bobby Joe Salter, age 63, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Monday night, September 3rd, 2012, in the UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

Visitation, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday night, September 7th, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel, Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral service, Saturday, September 8th, 2012, at Liberty Hill Church.  Burial in Cooper Cemetery, in Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.

Mr. Bobby Joe Salter, known as “Coon” or “Rare” was born in Vernon, Alabama, March 7, 1949 to Mrs. Nettie Mae Sudduth Salter and the late Mr. Ruben Salter

Bobby began his education at Lamar County Training School.  He then attended Ada Hanna School.  After school he served in the Job Corps.  After completing his service with Job Corps, he worked various jobs, including owning his own lawn service business until he retired after becoming sick.

Bobby accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour and became a member of Liberty Hill Free Will Baptist Church at an early age.  Bobby departed this life Monday, September 3, at 5:50 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory his Loving Mother:  Mrs Nettie Mae Salter.

Mr. Troyce J. Stovall, age 79, of Hackleburg, Alabama, passed away Thursday, August 30th, 2012, at Shoals Hospital.

Mr. Stovall was born November 25th, 1932 in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Isom and Pearl Stovall.

He is survived by 1 sister, Bonnie Nix; 5 nieces & nephews, Reba Duncan, Gene Stovall, June Moore, Ruth Gail Cagle, & Bobby Stovall; and a host of other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isom & Pearl Stovall; 1 sister, Doll Henson; and 2 brothers, Athel & Edward Stovall.

Ms. Sarah Willodean Cox, age 64, of Haleyville, Alabama, formerly of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Friday night, August 31st, 2012, at Genesis House in Haleyville, Alabama.

Visitation, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 3rd, 2012, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 3rd, at the following visitation at the funeral home chapel.  Elvis Cochran officiating.  Burial in Love Joy Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.

Ms. Cox was born February 17th, 1948, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Marshall and Cora Mitchell Cox.

She is survived by 4 sisters, Maylene Cox Penrod, Maxine Cox Palmer, Faye Bruzek, and Brenda Harrison; 1 brother John Cox; with a host of cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Cora Mitchell Cox; 1 sister, Sandra Stevens; and 1 brother, Gary Cox.
