Mr. Clovis M. Emerson, age 86, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013, at the V. A. Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 25th, 2013, at Happy Hill Church, Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral service, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26th, 2013, at Happy Hill Church, Hamilton, Alabama.  Burial in New Hope Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.

Mr. Emerson was born March 18th, 1926 in Franklin County, Alabama, to the late Jim Rus and Donnie Bell Upton Emerson.  He was a Veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his wife, Earlene Cox Emerson; 1 sister, Earlene McKinney; 2 children, Janice Puckett and Marsha Morgan; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Donnie Upton Emerson; and 16 brothers and sisters.
