She is survived by 1 grandson, McKenzie McNees; 2 sisters, Gladys Eliason Foster and Margaret Logan Isom; special friend, Sheryl Barnwell; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Ms. Nix was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Nix; 1 daughter, Shelia Starr Nix McNees; and her parents, Forbie C. and Mattie D. Ballard.

She is survived by 1 son, Tommy Knight; and 1 daughter, Sondra Jo Knight Wightman.
