Mr. Donald Travis Webb of Guin, Alabama, and of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Sunday, January 18th, 2009 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Visitation, Tuesday evening, January 20th, 2009, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Norwood Funeral Home in Guin, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21st, 2009 at the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Tim Alexander officiating. Burial in Webb Cemetery (Map) in Lamar County, Alabama.

Don was 57 years, 8 months, and 23 days old. He was born April 26th, 1951, in the Guin Hospital in Guin, Alabama to the late Grady L. and Eather Rye Webb of Hamilton, Alabama. A 1969 graduate of Hamilton High School, he was raised in Hamilton, Alabama. He married Janice Nichols on June 5th, 1970. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and going to auctions (especially finding bargains for he was an adept trader!), but I think most of all, he enjoyed his grandchildren and spending time with his family. He was a dear Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. He will be missed so much by us all.

Don is survived by his wife of 38 1/2 years, Janice Nichols Webb; his son, Ronnie Webb; his 2 daughters, and sons-in-law, Bobbie Webb Harris and Jacky, and Donna Webb Bryant and Sam, all of Guin, AL.; his grandchildren, whom he loved so dearly, Kristin and Lane Harris, Ryan Webb, and Kaylee Bryant, and step-grandchildren, Summer and Nicholas Bryant, and Makayla Kell; his 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Bernice Webb Mills, of Hamilton, AL., Martha Webb White and Raymond, of Beaverton, AL., Peggy J. King, of Hamilton, AL., and Judy Webb Mays and Don Gann, of Hamilton, AL; nieces and nephews, Keith Mills and Judi, of Tuscaloosa, AL., Charles White and Sheri, of Winfield, AL., Melanie White Hughes and Jim, of Pelham, AL., Dr. Darlia King Morris and David, of Kansas City, MO., Gary Wayne Mays, Jr., of Hamilton, AL.; 2 aunts, Gladys Webb Morrow and Sarah Seay Rye; and a host of other relatives, cousins and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Grady L. Webb, July 8th, 1993, and Eather Rye Webb, November 27th, 1997; and 3 brothers-in-law, Gary Wayne Mays, Sr., February 28th, 1980, J.C. King, January 26th, 1981, and Guy H. Mills, February 17th, 2007.
