Russellville, AL – Ms. Betty Faye Parrish Mims, 66, Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, August 05, 2014, at her residence.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7th, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 8th, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel with burial following at Dempsey Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Jonathon Entrekin, Willie Lane, Donovan Brazell, Jake Bearden, Kaleb Bearden, Austin Miller, William Nulph, D.J. Kimbrough, and Thomas McKinney.
She is survived by children, Lisa Mims Lane (Danny), Teressa Mims Bearden, Johnnie Faye Mims Brazell (Joll), Shelia Sutton, Raymond (Brenda) McKinney; other children of her heart who she raised; grandchildren, Jonathon Entrekin, William “Wee Wee” & Melody Lane; Bethany & William Nulph, Jake Bearden, Donovan & Kimmy Brazell, Kaleyonna & Austin Miller, Kaleb Bearden, Merissa Brazell, Shandi & Kim Gardner, Chelsey Gardner, D.J. Kimbrough, Gloria McKinney, Thomas McKinney, Heather Mims; great-grandchildren, Gracie Entrekin, Brooke Entrekin, Robbie Lane, Anna Nulph, Sunny Snoddy, Kiser & Stormy Campbell, Maleah Duke, Phillip & Kitty Duke, Maddie, Kimberly, & Rayonna McKinney; Landon McClellan; siblings, Foy Parrish, Floyd Parrish, Curtis Parrish; brother & sister-in-law, Jim & Diane Mims; special lifetime friend, Betty Jackson; and a host of nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Mims; parents, Thomas & Irene Parrish; sisters, Myrtle McKinney, Lorene Portik, Josie Sutton Borden; brothers, Junior Parrish, Audrey Parrish, Elbert Parrish, Theo Parrish, Jimmy Parrish, and Odell Parrish.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Keesha Lindley and staff of North Alabama Hospice for the love and care shown towards our family. Also a special thanks to the many friends and relatives who have brought food, offered kind thoughts and prayers to our family in our time of loss. Thank you all so much.*
