Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Sunday, June 21st, 2015, at Mt. Olive Church, 14811, County Highway 172, Hackleburg, Alabama.  Funeral service, 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 22nd, 2015, at the Mt. Olive Church.  Burial in Mt. Olive Church Cemetery.

Pray request for the family of: Mr. David Winter Holcomb, age 74 of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at his residence. David was a 1958 graduate of Brilliant High School. He was a lifelong faithful Christian, a quite and generous man, an avid deer hunter, and a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Foster Holcomb and Annie Beatrice Trentham Holcomb, and 3 half brothers, Jim and George Holcomb, and William Trentham. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gennell “Nell” Self Holcomb, a daughter, Anna Mobley of Winfield, a son, Allen Holcomb (April) of Birmingham, 5 grandchildren, Laura Taylor of Gardendale, and Summer Taylor of Winfield, Will Holcomb (Allison) of Spring , TX, Ben Holcomb of Auburn, and Jacob McElyea of Athens, AL, and a sister, Sybil Beasley (Clarence) of Texas. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015 from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel, with burial to follow in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens. Charlie Rawls will officiate. A visitation will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. (service time) on Monday at the funeral home.*

James Leland “Jim” Stevenson

Jackson, MI – Mr. James Leland “Jim” Stevenson, age 84, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully, June 17th, 2015, surrounded by his family.

“Jim” was born February 16th, 1931, in Adrian, Michigan, to Leland A. and Evelyn (Wheaton) Stevenson. He was a 1949 graduate of Adrian High School. He was a mechanical draftsman for over 30 years in Jackson and Lenawee counties.

He is survived by 2 children, Mark, Mesa, AZ., and Marjorie (Mark) Ingraham, Dimondale, Windsor Charter Township, MI.; step-children, Charles (Sandra) Pope, Hamilton, AL., and Michael Pope, Dimondale, MI.; his former wife, Leota Pope Stevenson, Dimondale, MI.; grandchildren Benjamin (Caryn) Hatler, Nicole (Jared Reinhardt), and Andrea Hatler; 3 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren Martin and Addilyn; and 5 step-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Frank “Bud” (Janet) Stevenson, Adrian, MI., and John (Nancy) Stevenson, Waterville, OH.; and 1 sister Mary Ann (Robert) Wolverton, Onsted, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland A. and Evelyn (Wheaton) Stevenson; and 1 grandson Andrew Hatler, who died in infancy.

Jim was a kind and gentle soul with a great sense of humor and a sharp wit. He was loved by all who knew him.

A private family celebration of his life will take place June 28th, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the John George Home where Jim received excellent care at 1501 E. Ganson St. Jackson, MI 49202.

Arraignments were entrusted to the Chas. J. Burden & Sons Funeral Home, 1806 E. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI.

Teresa was born February 4th, 1966, in Marion County, Alabama, to Ann Stidham Pugh and the late A. J. “Bud” Pugh.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Robertson; 1 son, Dusty (Tarah) Robertson; 1 daughter, Stacy Robertson; her mother, Ann Pugh; 3 brothers, Jeff (Shayn’a) Pugh, Matt (Regina) Pugh, and Phillip (Teresa) Pugh; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, A. J. “Bud” Pugh.

She is survived by her husband, Neal Hall, of Sulligent, AL.; her sister, Wendy Reeves, of Huntsville, AL.; her brother, Chris (Amy) Reeves, of Trussville, AL.; her father and step-mother, Eugene and Beatrice Reeves, of Vernon, AL.; 2 nieces, Mary Elizabeth Reeves and Gracie Reeves; and 1 nephew, Micah Reeves; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Felecia Nichole Hall; and her mother, Mary Joyce Reeves.

He is survived by his wife, Jennette Wiginton; children, LaWanda J. Pollard, Randle H. Wiginton; Barry L. Wiginton, Larry D. Wiginton, Requeena Weatherly, Joan Hawkins, and Everett Clement; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jean Mitchell Wiginton; sisters, Annabelle Quinn and Estelle Fleming; and step-daughter, Loretta Galbreath.
