Hamilton, AL – Douglas Lowell Robinson, age 85, of Hamilton, Alabama (the Bexar Community), passed away Thursday evening, February 11th, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Lowell was born April 21st, 1930, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Elbert M. Robinson and Jessemere “Jessma” Stidham Robinson.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joy Smith Robinson; children, Jeffrey (Terri) Robinson, Lana (Mac) McNees, Steve (Alisa) Robinson, and Chris (Tanya) Robinson; grandchildren, Courtney Robinson, Calen Chambless, James McNees, Chandra Bennett, Sydney Robinson, Jake Robinson, Mollie Robinson, and Courtney Dillard; great-grandchildren, Camden Robinson, Myles Harrington, Hadlee Kate Chambless, Alexis McNees, Emma Kate Bennett, and Amelia Grace Bennett; brothers, Elbert M. Robinson, Jr., and David Robinson; sisters, Edith Mae Robinson, Virginia Joiner, and Brenda Collum; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Debbie (Rodney) Cleghorn, and Tina Campbell; 1 son, Stoney Myers; 8 grandchildren, Cindy, Brandon, Weston, Kenneth, Toni, Shane, Kayla, and Colton; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling “Bud” and Hazel Kinard; 3 sons, Willard Myers, Ricky Myers, and Jeff Myers; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 from Hamilton First Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. Bro. Eddie Davidson and Bro BJ Mills will officiate. Graveside service and burial will be Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 1:00 in Minor Cemetery located in Kimberly, AL. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11am until service at 2pm.

Linda was born September 24, 1954 in Marion County, AL to Faye McCombs Parker and the late David Leamon Franks. She was a graduate of Athens State where she obtained a degree in Accounting. Linda was Partner CPA at Lawler and Cole CPA’s, LLC in Hamilton, AL and a member of AICPA. She was a devout Christian woman and attended church at Union Chapel Baptist Church. When not busy with numbers, Linda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling to the beach and reading daily devotions. Linda loved life and held her family near and dear to her heart.
