Hamilton, AL – Mr. Wade Childers, age 70, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Sunday June 18th, 2017 at his residence.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21st, 2017, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral Service, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 22nd, 2017, at the funeral home chapel.  Burial in the Shottsville Cemetery, Marion County, Alabama.

Mr. Childers is survived by his wife, Becky Childers; 1 son, Bronson (Candi) Childers; 1 daughter, Sly (Scotty) Harris; 2 grandchildren, Aubree and Hudson Harris; 1 sister, Joyce Childers; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clint Childers; mother, Maudie Raye Childers; and 1 sister, Sue Childers Fell.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Eugene Cashion, and Dr, Ben Cashion; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Hamilton, AL – Mr. Gene Harold Pope, age 78, of Hamilton, Alabama , passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 in Guntersville, Alabama.

A memorial service will be held, Sunday, June 18, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, in Hamilton, Alabama.

Gene Harold Pope was born June 8, 1940, in Marion County, Alabama. He is the father of Bill Pope, husband of Gloria, and grandfather to a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Essie Pope and his grandparents, William “Will” Pope and Phoeba Bedie Cordelia Sullins Pope.

Gene Harold was first cousin to my late husband, Gary Wayne Mays, Sr. and I have enjoyed his being part of my family for more than 50 years. I will miss him very much.
