Larry Webb age 68 of Guin, AL passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at his residence.

Born February 16, 1950 in Guin, AL, he is the Son of the late William Doss and Gaitha Elois McKay Webb and the Husband of Loretta Doss Webb. He had lived in Guin most of his life, was a member of the Philadelphia Methodist Church and a member of the FOP Lodge # 32. He was a 1968 graduate of MCHS and graduated from Walker College and attended Livingston University. He graduated from the University of Alabama Law Enforcement Academy and served 40 years in Law Enforcement. He retired from the Guin Police Department.

He learned carpentry early in life from his dad, Doss Webb. Besides the love for his family that was his first love. He was very active with his grandkids and was their number one fan in anything they did.

He is survived by his Wife, Loretta Doss Webb of Guin, AL, A Daughter, Laurissa Webb Ball of Hartselle, AL, a Son, Lyle Doss Webb (Brandi) of Guin, AL, 4 Grandchildren, Brooke Webb, Sarah Webb, Savana Ball and Grayson Ball, A Sister, Betty Widner of Decatur, AL, 2 Brothers, Leon Webb (Linda) of Guin, AL and Michael Webb (Nina) of Winfield, AL, Sisters-In-Law Linda Doss, and Linnie Simms (Ricky) and a Brother-In-Law, Larry Doss (Brenda) all of Winfield, AL, and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Doss and Gathia Elois McKay Webb, Father and Mother-In-Law, Glen and Alta V. Doss, and a Brother-In-Law, Grady Widner.

Services held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro. David Sullivan officiating.

Visitation Saturday from 12 noon – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Larry Webb Scholarship Fund at State Bank and Trust.

Hubbertville, AL – Mrs. Nannie B Dozier, age 86, of the Hubbertville community, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 surrounded by her family. Nannie B is preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Daisy Sprinkle Brazil, her husband, Verlon Dozier, brother, J. D. Brazil, granddaughter, Ashley Nichole Dozier and sisters in law, Ruby Smith, Faye Beasley and brother in law, J.D. Dozier. She is survived by her children, Janice Owens (Steve) of Fayette, Karen Tucker (Dennis) of Bankson, Bobbie McCraw (Bill) of Hubbertville, James Dozier (Barbara) of Northport, Wayne Dozier of Lamar Co., Jimmy Dale Dozier (Susan) of Brierfield, Jacky Dozier (Annette) of Bankston, Andy Dozier of Hubbertville and Donald Dozier of Hubbertville, grandchildren, Jo, Nick, Stephanie, Courtney, Jodi, Debbie, Paul, Matt, David, April, Steven, Jonathan, Amanda, Melissa, Brandon, Jack, Coby, Brittany, Brian, Lindsey and Kevin, 38 great grandchildren, brother, Ted Brazil, sisters, Loutine Thomas, Joyce Ferguson (Gene), Maxine Barton and Estell Rushing, sisters in law, Rosa Lee Box and Remona Dozier, special friend Lounell Tucker, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Winfield, AL – Mrs. Patricia “Patsy” Roberts Brasher, age 82 of Winfield, passed away and was reunited with the love of her life on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Patsy and Max were married for 65 years.
Mrs. Brasher was a member of the Winfield First United Methodist Church and retired from GTE telephone company after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Max C. Brasher, her parents, Joe Murphy and Sally Elizabeth Roberts, grandson Noah Brasher and a brother, Richard A. Roberts.
She is survived by her sons, J. Max “Little Max” Brasher (Pam) and Allen Brasher (Melissa) both of Winfield, grandchildren, Clay Brasher (Kristen) of New York, Meagan Emerson of Hodges and Madison Brasher of Winfield, great-grandchildren, Alyssa Emerson, and one “on the way”, Thomas Clay Brasher, brothers, Tom Roberts (Martha) of Birmingham, Joe Roberts (Mindy) of Sandy Springs, Maryland, sister in-laws, Jane Roberts of Canfield, OH, Shirley Ann Gladden (George Ray) of Fayette, brother in-laws, Dale Brasher, Sr. of Winfield, John Brasher (Doris) of Fayette, special caregiver, Michelle Gunnin and grand pups, Tide and Oliver.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brasher will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 12:00 noon from the Winfield First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the McConnell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon (service time) on Thursday at the church. Bro. Earl Freeman and Tom Roberts will officiate. Hamilton, AL – Virgil Milton McGuire, Jr., also known as “Junior” McGuire, age 79, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Monday April 23rd, 2018 at his residence.

H. Glenn Karr (March 23, 1938 – April 21, 2018)

Moody, AL – Herbert Glenn Karr, Age 80, of Moody, Alabama, passed away Saturday, April 21st, 2018.

Visitation, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home, 1750 Ashville Rd., Leeds, Alabama. Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., following visitation, at the funeral home. Graveside service and burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Sulligent City Cemetery in his hometown of Sulligent, in Lamar County, Alabama.

Glenn Karr and Evelyn Woods Karr married on March 15th, 1957.

Glenn is survived by 2 daughters, Kim Karr Isdell, Moody, AL. and Kay Karr (Randy) Gunter, Gadsden/Rainbow City, AL.; 2 brothers, James Arnold “Jim” Karr, Gulfport, MS., and Danny (Kay) Karr, Hueytown, AL.; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and 1 sister-in-law; and a host of other family and friends who will miss him so much.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Woods Karr (June 21, 1940 – March 28, 1990); his parents, Arnold and Bernice McCormack Karr; grandparents, George Hamp and Izy Rye Karr, and Grover Cleveland and Ludie Mae McCormack.

Follower of Christ, Father, grandfather, extraordinary story-teller and self-proclaimed jokester, H. Glenn Karr, 80, of Moody, Alabama, died peacefully Saturday morning, April 21, 2018. Winfield, AL – Mr. Max Clinton Brasher, age 83 of Winfield, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, April 18th, 2018 in the Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Max was a member of the Winfield First United Methodist Church, past President, past District President, and very active member of the Winfield Lions Club. Mr. Brasher was co-founder of the famed “Mule Day” event in Winfield, leading to the award of “emeritus” board member of the Winfield Chamber of Commerce. Max served on the Winfield City Council for 25 years and was a supervisor for GTE telephone company for almost 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C.C. “Shorty” and Eunice Hubbert Brasher; 2 sisters, Linda Smith and Sue Davis; 4 brothers, Jake, Tommy, Jerry Brasher, and Billy Ray Brasher; and a grandson Noah Brasher.

Max is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patsy Roberts Brasher; 2 sons, J. Max “Little Max” Brasher (Pam) and Allen Brasher (Melissa) both of Winfield, AL.; 4 grandchildren, Clay Brasher (Kristen) of New York, Meagan Emerson of Hodges, AL., and Madison Brasher of Winfield, Jeremy Fikes of Anniston, AL.; 3 great-grandchildren, Alyssa Emerson, and one “on the way”, Thomas Clay Brasher; 2 brothers, Dale Brasher Sr. of Winfield, AL., and John (Doris) Brasher of Fayette, AL.; 1 sister, Shirley Ann Gladden (George Ray) of Fayette, AL.; special caregiver, Michelle Gunnin; and grand-pups, Tide and Oliver.
