Hamilton, AL – James Joel Palmer, age 85, of Hamilton, ALabama, passed away Saturday, April 7th, 2018 at Country Place Senior Living in Hamilton.

Visitation, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 10th, 2018, at the Marion County Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama. Service, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 at the Marion County Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in  Love Joy Cemetery in Hamilton.

Joel is survived by 2 daughters, Judy Palmer (James) Wallace, and Belinda Palmer (Jim) McRea; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Swindle Palmer.

Joel will be missed!
