Hamilton, AL – Ann Stidham Pugh, age 72, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, September 26th,2018 at her residence.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Thursday September 27th, 2018, at the Hamilton Freewill Baptist Church in Hamilton, Alabama. Funeral service, 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 28th, 2018, at the church. Burial in Rocky Grove Cemetery Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Sentry Road, Hamilton, Alabama.

She is survived by her children, Jeff (Shayna) Pugh, Matt (Regina) Pugh, and Phillip (Teresa) Pugh; grandchildren, Dusty and Stacy Robertson, Allie and Meagan Pugh, Tyler Pugh, Zach Pugh and Brett Dyar; great-grandchildren, Emoree Marchbanks and Charlee Gamble;  1 brother, James Stidham; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Lora Childers Stidham; 1 daughter, Teresa Pugh Robertson; 2 brothers, Arvin “Doc” Stidham, and Claborn Stidham; and 4 sisters: Marie Stidham Lancaster, Lois Faye Stidham Lindley, Jeanette Stidham Vann and Louise Stidham Harris.

Sheffield, AL – Alene Dodd Holder, age 80, of Sheffield, Alabama, formerly of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away September 21st, 2018, at her residence.

Ms. Holder was born June 18th, 1938, in the Thornhill Community near Haleyville, Alabama to the late Henry and Lillie Mae Collier Dodd.

She is survived by her children, Franklin Dewayne Gravitt and Wendell Elliott Gravitt; 1 sister, Edna Buckner; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Holder; and her parents, Henry and Lillie Mae Collier Dodd.

Winfield, AL – James Travis “J.T.” Benton, age 96, of Winfield, Alabama, passed away Friday, September 21st, 2018 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Alabama.

Visitation, Monday, September 24th, 2018, 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home, in Winfield, Alabama. Funeral service, 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 24th, at the funeral home chapel in Winfield, Alabama. Burial in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Dr. Paul Murphy officiating. Matthew Langston, David Burgess, Jerrod Walker, Joseph Walker, Mike Johnson, Dusty Lindley, Greg Tucker and Taz Morell, active pallbearers.

“J.T.” was born March 19th, 1922, in Fayette County, Alabama to the late James Travis and Emma Roby Benton. He owned and operated his own truck for 50 years hauling coal and fertilizer. He was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church where he served as an ordained deacon. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He loved his family and enjoyed working in his garden.

He is survived by his daughters, Wanda Walker of Winfield, AL., Barbara (Wayne) Tucker of Dora, AL., and Martha (Wayne) Weakley of Tuscaloosa, AL.; sisters, Maebelle Cagle of Winfield, AL., and Billie Ruth Eads of Kansas; grandchildren, Anita Johnson, Michael Langston, Matthew Langston, Annette Lindley, David Burgess, Melissa Morell, Rana Tucker, Jerrod Walker and Joseph Walker; 16 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Travis and Emma Roby Benton; his wife of over 50 years, Lucy Perry Benton; 2 sisters, Mary Lou Benton and Emma Dean Herren; 1  brother, Marion Bud Benton; 1 grandson, Chris Langston; 2 great-grandsons, Owen Douglas Walker and Shields Thomas Walker; and son-in-law, Douglas Walker.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Kemp Meadows, Sunset Manor, Hospice of Northwest Alabama and Northwest Medical Center.

Ms. Robbins was born September 19th, 1936, in Hamilton, Alabama, to Orbin and Mary McCostly Palmer.

She is survived by 5 children, Dwight Robbins, Danny (Angie) Robbins, Dale (Patty) Robbins, Donald (Kim) Robbins, and Shannon (Jamie) Blaker; 11 grandchildren, Miranda Winters, Jamey Robbins, Luke Robbins, Eric Robbins, Drent Robbins, Kyle Robbins, Kaitlyn Robbins, Brock Ray, Corey Blaker, Caleb Blaker, and Carlie Blaker; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 siblings, Wanda Ensor, Glenda Willard; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of First United Methodist Church in Haleyville, Alabama.

Margo was preceded in death by her father, James Teas; and 1 brother Steve Teas.

Guin, AL – Claude E. Marshall, age 85, of Guin, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 at his residence.

Visitation, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m., Sunday, September 23rd, 2018 prior to the service at the residence, 662 Meadowlark Lane, Guin, Alabama. Memorial Service, 4:30 p.m., Sunday, September 23rd, 2018 following visitation, at the residence.  Belinda Freeman and Darrell Randolph officiating.

Mr. Marshall was born November 15th, 1932, in Beaverton, Alabama, to the late Forrest and Betty Markham Marshall  He had lived in Guin, Alabama the past 36 years. He was President of Local Union IBEW 323 for 8 years, and was Assistant Business Agent for Local Union 323 for 8 years.  He was a member of the Guin First United Methodist Church and was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Air Force.  He was an honest man who loved his wife, daughters, son and grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann McKinnon Marshall of Guin, AL.; 2 daughters, Laurie Marshall of Jupiter, FL.,  and Lynn Marshall of Guin, AL.; 1 son, Chris Marshall of Guin, AL.; and 2 grandsons, Colton and Reif Rodano; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Betty Markham Marshall; and grandparents, David and Matilda Motes Markham.
