*Bio: Elizabeth Diane Mills Studdard, affectionately known by her devoted husband as “Ms. Diane”, departed this earth and went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 2, 2020.
Diane was born in Guin, Alabama on May 14, 1937. Her life revolved around family from her earliest childhood until the day she passed. At the end of her life, she was considered a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to the countless number of lucky individuals fortunate enough to have been part of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Diane attended Winfield City High School and was a proud member and majorette of the Winfield Pirate Band. Following graduation, she attended the University of Alabama and was a member of the Beta Psi Chapter of the Delta Gamma Fraternity. She was quite the debutante in her day.
Diane was always committed to her home and family, and she never forgot her roots. She devoted her life to making her home and community better, and she loved Winfield, Alabama . . . especially her friends and acquaintances. From her earliest days in The First Baptist Church, the Church Choir, The Cosmopolitan Club, the Winfield City High School, and her “4+ hour-long Thursday Lunch Bunch”, Diane cherished each moment of each day she shared with family and friends.
When Don and Diane married 40 years ago, they blended two wonderful families that became one. Together, Don and Diane have served as the patriarchs of a special family that produced six sons and daughters, fourteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Despite a few Auburn fans in the mix, Diane loved them all.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the following . . .
