Annie Merle Wilkerson Russell, age 78, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, at her residence.
She was born in Union Springs, Alabama, on November 24, 1943, to Charlie E. Wilkerson and Francis Pawnee Lambert Wilkerson.
Visitation, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 01, 2022, at the Marion County Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama. Funeral Service, 3:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Bro. Mark Collier officiating. Burial in Winfield City Cemetery, Winfield, Marion County, Alabama.
Merle was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Alan Russell; parents, Charlie E., and Francis Wilkerson; siblings, Charlie C. Wilkerson, Sammy Wilkerson, Edward Wilkerson, Sarah Burke.
She is survived by three children, Neal Russell (Jennifer), Nancy Colburn (Johnny), Norman Russell, (Julie); grandchildren, Amber Swinney, Clark Jones, Ashley Goodwin (Matt), Emily Russell, Jacob Russell, and Benjamin Russell; great-grandchildren, Braxton Pilkington, Kenton Pilkington, John Graydon Goodwin; siblings, Carolyn Woolley, Jewel Shierling; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
