(May 8, 1931 – September 21, 2012)

In Memory of my sweet brother-in-law, James “Raymond” White. Today on his birthday, we pause to remember a kind and generous man who loved his family and his extended family. He would offer to help with anything that anyone needed to be done and with two widowed sister-in-laws there was always something for him to do!  He was the best and we would like to wish him a Happy Birthday on this special day!

John Chapter 11 Verse 25

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 Verse 13 – 17

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.*

(May 8, 1932 – September 21, 2012)

Raymond, I can’t believe That it has been 2 years since you joined The Lord in Heaven.

Remembering you on this day, comforted by so many wonderful memories that you made for me as I grew up. You were my big brother and I loved you and I miss you. If I ever needed to know how to do something to my house or car or lawn, all I had to do was ask Raymond. Then you not only helped me figure out how but came almost immediately to help me do it! You did that for my whole family just as you did for your family. You were one of a kind as far as I’m concerned and again, I have to say, Raymond White, we all love you and miss you so much!

The Rose Beyond the Wall
A Poem by A. L. Frin
k

Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God’s free light,
Watered and fed by the morning dew,
Shedding it’s sweetness day and night.

As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.

Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice’s length
And unfolded itself on the other side.

The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it’s fragrance more and more.

Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive–
The rose still grows beyond the wall,

Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forever-more.

Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
