Jacksonville, FL – Colton Chase Holbrook, age 2, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Saturday October 7th, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Visitation, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at Hope Alive Church in Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral Service, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15th, 2017 at the church. Burial in Barnesville Cemetery in Hamilton, Alabama.

Survivors include, Parents: Kevin (Glenda) Holbrook, Brothers and Sisters: Adam Holbrook, Erika Cameron, Nicole Ives, Josh Holbrook, Kayla Holbrook and Cain Holbrook.

He was preceded in death by his Brother: Christopher Evans.

Hamilton, AL – Robert “Bob” Howard Palmer, age 68 of Hamilton, Alabama passed away Monday October 9, 2017 in the Hospice Unit in Tupelo, MS. after a brief illness.
Born January 29, 1949 to the late Robert Howard and Gay Miles Palmer, he had resided in Hamilton, AL. his entire life. He attended Hamilton High School where he excelled on the basketball court. He retired from Hamilton Housing Authority after working 25 years in the maintenance department. He was known for his game of pool and playing a heated game of darts. He was an avid fisherman and never got tired of showing all of his fishing pictures. He also enjoyed a good hunting trip with his buddies. He will always be remembered as a jokester and one would always need to be careful when shaking his hand. On the weekends he could be found watching Alabama Football or NASCAR racing. It was always an adventure with Bob,
His is survived by his Wife of 30 years Linda Tarwater Palmer, Daughter; Anna Palmer Gilmore (Jonathan), of Dothan, AL., Stepson: Jeffrey Miller (Brandy) of Madison, AL., Grandchildren: Leighton(8), Landry (5), Kendal (13), Austin (13) and another granddaughter arriving in December. Brother: Billy Douglas Palmer (Jenny) of Guntersville, AL.
A private family celebration will be held at a later date.

Hamilton, AL – Ms. Slena Tomajean “Tommie Jean” Rudicell Sanderson Beckham, age 89, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Thursday, September 14th, 2017, at the North Ms. Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Visitation, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday September 18th, 2017, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home following visitation. Burial in Rudicell Cemetery.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Debra Sanderson Jones; 5 grandchildren, Brett (Rhana) Jones, Mason (Julie) Jones, Morgan Jones, Andy (Danielle) Trotter and Scott (Nikki Lee) Trotter; 10 great-grandchildren, Reed Jones, Alyssa Jones, Aiden Jones, Maxon Jones, Riland Trotter, June Trotter, Grant, Reid , Caroline Trotter and Huckleberry Cooper Morgan; special family friend, Lea Cooper (James) Morgan; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rube and Pearl Shotts Rudicell; husbands, Eugene “Scrappy” Sanderson, and Thomas Beckham; 1 daughter, Patsy Sanderson Trotter; and 1 grandson, Jason Jones.

Tuscumbia / Hamilton, AL – Hilburn “Bud” Hightower, age 79, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, formerly of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Monday September 11th, 2017, at the Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 13th, 2017, from 12:00 until service time at 2:00 p.m., at the Fulton Bridge Baptist Church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

ISHPEMING, MI – Rosa Belle “Rosie” Jeffreys, age 95, an Ishpeming resident since 2000, passed away Saturday July 29, 2017 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where she had resided since 2006.

Rosa is survived by 2 children: Opal (Joe) Giroux and Hollis (Willow) Jeffreys, 8 grandchildren, including: Michael (Tanya) Giroux, Jeffrey (Ann) Giroux and James (Carol) Giroux, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor “Vic” Jeffreys.
