Burial:  West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win, Alabama.

Bio:  Louie was a 1963 graduate of Carbon Hill High School, a member of the Winfield Church of Christ, and retired from the 3M company after 35 years of service.*

Guin, AL – Neal Webb, age 55, of Guin, Alabama passed away Wednesday, December 12th, 2018 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Neal was born December 22nd, 1962 in Guin, Alabama, and had lived in Guin all of his life. He worked at 3M Company and had attended the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nickie Bozeman Webb; 1 son, Skylar (Danielle); 1 daughter, Annie; his father and step-mother, Gene (Lynda) Webb; his mother, Mary Haney Duncan; 2 brothers, Baron Webb and Shannon (Tracey) Webb; 2 grandchildren, Ava Jane and Hank; uncle, Jack (Sharon) Haney;  and aunt, Annette (James) Haney; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Megan Webb and Maggie Webb; and step-father, Craig Duncan.

Visitation, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 14th, 2018 at the Guin First Baptist Church. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15th, 2018 at the Guin First Baptist Church. Burial in Webb Cemetery, Beaverton, Lamar County, Alabama. Bro. Kenny Hatcher officiating.

Mr. Philip Pennington, age 84, of Columbus, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday February 12th, 2014, at the V.A. Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Funeral service held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from Otts Funeral Home Chapel with military honors and burial in the Crews Cemetery. Elder Joseph Nettles officiating. Visitation at the funeral home Saturday evening from 12 until 2 P.M.

Phillip was born December 6, 1929 in Lamar County, AL to the late Joseph Robert and Mary Jane Otts Pennington. He worked several years for Ashburn and Gray Engineering in Huntsville, and worked on the Tenn-Tom Waterway as a Safety & Civil Engineer. Phillip was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, the VFW in Sulligent Post 8450, and Vernon American Legion Post 32. He attended Sulligent High School. Phillip was a member of Sulphur Springs Primitive Baptist Church in the Bartahatchie Community in Monroe County, MS.

Mr. Motes was born August 27th, 1949 in Vernon, Alabama to the late Jessie Newman and Ramie Price Motes. He was retired from Arvin in Fayette, Alabama, a member of Crossville Fire Department, and a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. He loved Alabama football, fishing, hunting and horseback riding.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Motes, Vernon, AL.; 1 son, Robert (Tracy) Motes, Sulligent, AL.; 1 daughter, Patricia (Brent) Trentham, Sulligent, AL.; 6 grandchildren, Tray and Brittney Trentham, Garrett, Chase, and J.T. Motes, and John Murphy; 1 sister, Judy Akins, Sulligent, AL.; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Newman and Ramie Price Motes; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Ann Reed and Faye Shackleford.
