George Albert Reph, Sr. of Detroit, Alabama

Age:  88

Born:  January 19, 1931, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to the late Mary Ann Milligan Reph and Raymon Reph.

Died:  Monday, July 22, 2019, at NWMC Winfield, Alabama.

Visitation:  6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019, at the Otts Funeral Home in Sulligent, Alabama.

Funeral Service:  2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 28, 2019, at the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church.

Burial:  Military Graveside Services and Burial follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Officiating:  Bro. Jason Clifton.

Pallbearers: Sheldon Ergle, Richard Hock, Dale Hock, Kenny Hock, Harvey Wallace, Ray Alvarez.

Survived By:

Wife:  Marie Reph, Detroit, AL.

Sons:

George Albert “Al” Reph, Jr., FL.

Brian (Tonya) Hock, North Hampton, PA.

Kenneth (Leah) Hock, Haleyville, AL.

And a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Other Relatives and, Friends.

Parents:  Mary Ann Milligan Reph and Raymon Reph

And Several Brothers and Sisters.

Bio:  Albert George Reph, Sr. was born January 19, 1931, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to the late Mary Ann Milligan Reph and Raymon Reph.  He was a retired United States Army veteran who received the following service awards Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medals, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Republic of Korea-Korean War Service Medal, and Korean Service Medal W/1 Silver Service Star.  Albert previously worked for Grumman Aircraft in New York City, New York.  He was a member of the Detroit Methodist Church, Detroit, Alabama. Albert enjoyed watching wrestling and spending time with his grandchildren, especially dressing as Santa Claus for them during the Christmas season through the years as his health would allow.  Albert also loved and enjoyed his dogs and other animals.*
