Age:  79

Born:  December 13, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois to Phillip Sutera and Margaret Lazara Sutera.

Died:  Monday, August 5, 2019, in the Marion Regional Nursing Home in Hamilton, Alabama.

Visitation:  2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Bowen Funeral Home in Winfield, Alabama.

Memorial Service:  3:00 p.m., following visitation, at the funeral home chapel.

Burial:  Beaverton Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survived By:

Daughter:  Deborah Wheat of Beaverton, AL.

Born:  July 14, 1929, to the late John Thomas and Gera Davidson Markham in Detroit, Alabama.

Died:  Sunday, July 14, 2019, at The Carrington Nursing Facility in Starkville, Mississippi.

Visitation:  6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at the Norwood Funeral Home in Sulligent, Alabama.

Funeral Service:  2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church in Beaverton, Alabama.

Burial:  Rudicell Cemetery in Marion County, Alabama, near Detroit, Alabama.

Officiating:  Rev. Roger Redus.

Bio:  Frances was born July 14, 1929, to the late John Thomas and Gera Davidson Markham in Detroit, Alabama. She attended Detroit Elementary and Sulligent High School. In 1947 she married W. L. “Jr” Karr, Jr. and shared 53 years of marriage until his death in October 2000.  A homemaker and partner in her husband’s farming pursuits, she was a member of the Detroit United Methodist Church and later the Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church.  A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a friend and neighbor to all.*

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Hebron Methodist Church, the Rudicell Cemetery, or the Gideons.

Celebration of Life Service:  2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel.

Officiating:  Bro. John Nicholson, Bro. Jeff Chaffin, Bro. Matthew Paul and Bro. Mark Puckett.

Burial:  Love Joy Cemetery, Beaverton, Lamar County, Alabama.

Died:  Saturday, June 8, 2019, at DCH in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Visitation:  12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2019, at the Otts Funeral Home in Sulligent, Alabama.

Funeral Service:  1:00 p.m., Monday, June 10, following visitation at the funeral home.

Burial:  Love Joy Cemetery.

Officiating:  Bro. Edward Puckett.

Survived By:

Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Other Relatives, and Friends.

Bio:  Doris was born on February 20, 1956, in Amory, MS to the late L.J. Vann and the late Pearlie Fae Harris. She was a graduate of Sulligent High School. Doris previously worked at Tiffin Motor Homes in Red Bay, AL, Jack’s in Guin, the Shell station on Hwy 129 in Winfield, and Walmart in Hamilton, AL. She was a very hard worker. Doris enjoyed taking care of her dogs. She attended Love Joy Freewill Baptist Church.*
