*Author’s Note: Bob Rye Ball was another of my dear first cousins. She was my mother, Eather Rye Webb’s niece, and daughter of my uncle L.J. Rye and aunt Margie Clark Rye. Bob was very precious to me and I will miss her so much. She was my hero who came to my rescue many times while my late husband, Gary, and I lived in Birmingham. We were newlyweds and our old car often broke down and we didn’t have a clue…Bob was quite the mechanic! She always came to our rescue! Bob, I love you!
