*(Marjorie Key Goodwin, age 76, entered into her reward on June 30, 2020. On April 12, 1944, she became the firstborn to what would become a loving family of five. She was a 1962 graduate of Brilliant High School.

In 1966, she married the love of her life, and together they created a family complete with three wonderful sons. They established a home based on their faith and raided their children together until his death in a mining accident in 1985. Marge was a loyal wife and a strong mother. She cheered her boys on through every ballgame and led them through both the good and bad moments of life. She was incredibly hard working and held several careers throughout her lifetime; including seamstress, cosmetologist, florist, and LPN.

Marge devoted her life to the Lord and was a faithful member of the Brilliant Church of Christ. Those who were close to her will fondly remember the tender heart, cunning humor, and endless hospitality. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She raised them on her love of reading, game shows, Alabama football, and all things Elvis Presley. Her family members were never left wondering if they were loved, appreciated, and supported.

She is rejoining her husband, Larry Goodwin, brother DeWayne Key, and nephew, DeWayne Key, Jr. Mrs. Goodwin is survived by her parents, Leonard and Amelia Key, children, Scott Goodwin (Wendy), Bill Goodwin (Maggie) and David “Doo” Goodwin, grandchildren, Lindsey Jackson (Brian), Jordan Goodwin, Cari Stough (Dustin), Taylor Goodwin and Madison Goodwin, great-grandchildren, Kane Rushing, Ella Jace Jackson, Kennedy Stough, Kye Jackson, and Sawyer Stough, a brother, David Key (Dean), niece, Rena Mays (Mark) and nephews, Jeff Key (Natalie), Dale Key, and Barry Key, and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends, including her lifelong friend, Lynn Whitehead.

Though her passing will leave a void in the lives of her loved ones, the lessons she taught and the memories they shared will always be with them. The loss of a mother or grandmother can never be replaced, but the love of a mother or grandmother can never be lost.) Bowen Funeral Home.*
