Born:  November 29, 1939, in Gattman, Mississippi, to the late James Edward “Eddie” Hankins and Lorene Downey Hankins.

Age:  79

Died:  Thursday, August 15, 2019, at his residence.

Visitation:  12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Otts Funeral Home in Sulligent, Alabama.

Funeral Service with Military Honors:  2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 18, 2019, at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial:  Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Officiating:  Bro. William Kirkman, Bro. Phillip Blaylock and Bro. Brian Kirkman.

Bio:  Charles Edward Hankins was born on November 29, 1939, in Gattman, Mississippi to the late James Edward “Eddie” Hankins and Lorene Downey Hankins. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the Alabama Army National Guard. Charles was a barber, school bus driver, and minister. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, driving and traveling.*
