Mr. Howard Royce Williams, age 69, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, October 15th, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday night, October 17th, 2014, at Pleasant Ridge Freewill Baptist Church.  Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18th, 2014.  Bobby Duncan and Elvis Cochran officiating.  Burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.

Mr. Williams was born September 14th, 1945, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Haston and Freddie (née Williams) Williams.  He was retired.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Williams; children, Sandy Tucker and Chris Webb; grandchildren, Alex Cahoon, Skylar Cahoon, and McKinley Tucker; 3 great-grandchildren, Keagan Cahoon, Kyson Cahoon, and Anastyn Cahoon; 1 sister, Doris Nix; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by 1 son, Brett Williams; his parents, Haston and Freddie (née Williams) Williams; 1 grandson, Brandon Cahoon; and 1 brother, Troyce Williams.

Ms. Opal Knight, age 91, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Tuesday night, December 17th, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, Alabama.

Visitation, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 20th, 2013, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel, Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 20th, 2013, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial, Friday, December 20th, 2013 at Rudicell Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.

Ms. Knight was born December 15th, 1922, in Marion County.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Knight; 1 grandson, Christopher Robin “Chris” Jones; 1 granddaughter, Melinda Knight; and 1 daughter-in-law, Marilyn Jones Knight.

She is survived by 1 son, Tommy Knight; and 1 daughter, Sondra Jo Knight Wightman.

Jeremy Harbin, age 41, of Sulligent, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm from Otts Funeral Home with burial in Crews Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00pm until service time at 7:00pm. Bro. Roger Redus will officiate.
Pallbearers: Kevin Wheeler, David Coleman, Adam Heath, Dr. Wesley Woods, Michael Broome and Brandon Crawford. Honorary pallbearers: James Swindol Tyrone Oswalt, Skip Newman, David Spann, Dewayne Roberts and Clinton Roberts.
Jeremy was born February 2, 1972 in Haleyville, AL to Harold Harbin and Betty McDonald Gann. Jeremy was a 1990 graduate of Sulligent High School where he was very active in sports and excelled in football and baseball. He was well known and liked in the community. Jeremy was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was currently employed by Mental Health where he worked in maintenance. He also has worked as a custom cabinet maker at Cabinets and More, at one time owned Jack Rabbit Slims and owned Harbins Steak and Fish. Jeremy continued his passion for sports as a youth baseball coach for Sulligent Park and Recreation. Other hobbies he loved were hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was a member of Crews Methodist Church.
Survivors: Parents: Harold Harbin and wife Marsha, Haleyville, AL Betty McDonald Gann, Beaverton, AL Wife: Melissa Nolen, Sulligent, AL Sons: Chase and Ryan Harbin and Kevin Black and wife Pricilla all of Sulligent. AL Daughter: Laura Beth Cavender, Sulligent, AL Brother: David Harbin and wife Sara, Double Springs, AL Several nieces and nephews.*

Miss Freda Anderson, age 94, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, March 13th, 2013, at Marion Regional Nursing Home in Hamilton, Alabama.

Visitation, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16th, 2013, at Pleasant Ridge Church in Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16th, 2013, at the church.  Bobby Duncan officiating.  Burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.

Miss Anderson was born September 9th, 1918, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Gus and Catherine (née Wiginton) Anderson.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Sadie (Louis) Goggans, and Selma Taylor; 3 nieces, Janice (Jim) Padgett, Annette (Jim) Burrow, and Sharon Brown; 1 nephew, Brent Anderson; 9 great-nieces and great-nephews, Jennifer Burrow Grissom, Allison Burrow Sanders, James Padgett, Alicia Padgett, Mary Padgett, Catherine Brown, Megan Brown Obrien, Jamie Anderson, and Derrick Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Catherine (née Wiginton) Anderson; and 3 brothers, Emit Anderson, Sunny Anderson, and Willard Anderson.
