FLAG7aMr. Denver Shotts, age 85, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, March 13th, 2013, at the Great Lakes Specialty Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 15th, 2013, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16th, 2013, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel.  Bill Duncan and Keith Spencer officiating.  Burial in Fairview Church Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.

Mr. Shotts was born July 26th, 1927, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late John Grover and Viola Lindsey Shotts.  He was a Veteran having served in the United States Armed Forces.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Lorine (Charles) Cantrell; 4 grandchildren, Jason Shotts, Linsey Shotts Honeycutt, Ashley Cantrell; and Emily Cantrell Anderson; and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Shotts; 2 sons, Gene Shotts, and Terry Shotts; 1 daughter-in-law, Marsha Mitchell Shotts; and 10 brothers and sisters.
