Age: 77

Born: August 29, 1942, to Elmer Clark and Lillie Mae Clay Clark in Hamilton, Alabama. Betty was a 1960 graduate of Hamilton High School, a member of Fulton Bridge Baptist Church in Hamilton and was employed by the Auburn Extension System for 41 years.

Died: Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Visitation: 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Bowen Funeral Home in Winfield, Alabama.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home chapel.

Officiating: Brother Michael Stancil.

Survived by:

Husband of 51 years: Hugh Whitman of Hamilton, AL.

Brother: Donny Clark (Linda) of Hamilton, AL.

Niece: Roxanne Whitman of IL.

Nephews: Adam Don Clark (Sarah) of Augusta, GA., Brandon Allen Clark (Alisha) of Pelham, AL., Cody Michael Clark (Ali) of Hamilton, AL., James Wayne Whiteman (Vickie) of IL., and Michael Whitman of IL.

Great Nieces: Teagan, Finleigh, Sierra and Dawson.

And a host of other relatives, church family and friends.

Helen Jackie Harper Cooley, better known by old friends as “Jackie Harper” of Hamilton, Alabama.

Age: 79

Born: March 24, 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia. She faithfully attended Fulton Bridge Baptist Church.

Died: Monday, June 22, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Visitation: 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 19, 2020, at the Marion County Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 19, 2020, following visitation, at the Marion County Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial: Fulton Bridge Church Cemetery by the side of her first husband, Gaylon Harper where they share a headstone and she is listed as Jackie Harper and the date of their marriage is listed as April 11, 1971. Inscription on their shared headstone is ”Your Love Will Light My Way” ”Your Memory Will Ever Be With Me”.)
