Sulligent, AL – Mr. Donald Gene Cantrell, age 79, of Sulligent, in the Shakerag Community, passed away Saturday, January 14th, 2017, as the result of an automobile accident.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete but will be announced later.

July 22, 1924 – September 2, 2014

Wilson Clifford Goss, Jr., age 90, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014, at his residence.

The body will be cremated with no formal services to be held.

“Jr.” was born July 22nd, 1924 in Glenwood, Georgia to the late Wilson Clifford and Bealuh Dixon Goss, Sr. He spent most of his life working as a construction superintendent all over the state of Florida and supervised the construction of eighty-two Publix Supermarkets. Jr. was a World War II veteran of the US Army. As hobbies he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Alavene Nail Goss; 1 son, Tim Goss, Sulligent, AL.; 1 daughter, Tina (Dempsey) Hatcher, Vernon, AL.; 1 brother: Wesley Goss, Yuley, FL.; 1 sister, Agnes Sewell, Lakeland, FL.; 9 grandchildren, Brad, Reanna, Shelby and Keely Goss, Becky Hosea, Tisha (Bill) Pennington, Misti (Brett) Gentle and Gavin (Linda) Hatcher; 5 great-grandchildren, Jordan Pennington, Denver and Kennady Gentle, Lilly and Sam Hatcher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Bealuh Goss, Sr., 1 daughter, Deborah Harburder; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.
