Guin, AL – Mr. Loyd Carter, age 87, of Guin, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, December 17th, 2014, in the Fayette Medical Center, Fayette, Alabama.

Guin, Alabama. Funeral service, 12:00 (noon), Friday, December 19th, 2014, at the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel, in Guin. Bro. Edward Puckett officiating. Burial in the Love Joy Cemetery.
Mr. Carter was born August 31st, 1927, in Cookeville, Tennessee, to the late Luther Benton and Effie Lee Mills Carter. He was a Deacon and member of the Love Joy Free Will Baptist Church, loved hunting, training bird dogs and working with honey bees.*
He is survived by his Wife, Laura Nell Markham Carter, of Guin, AL, A Daughter, Peggy Carter of Guin, AL, 2 Sons, Gary Carter of Warren, MI and Allan Carter of Hopkinsville, KY, 3 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters, Maggie Spineto and Carolyn Foy both of Guin, AL, a Brother, Doyle Carter of Guin, AL, a Goddaughter, Sue Cagle-Gilmore and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother; 2 sisters; and 1 grandson.
