Hamilton, AL – Mr. Bernice Shotts, age 84, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Thursday, March 15th, 2018, at the Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Visitation, Sunday, March 18th, 2018, from 1:00 until service time at 2:00 p.m., at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama. Burial in the Shottsville Cemetery, Shottsville Community, Marion County, Alabama.

Survivors include his wife, Jewel Emerson Shotts; 1 daughter, Kathy (Andy) Stone; 3 grandchildren, Natasha (Jacob) Lunce, Holly (Justin) Lowery, and Andrew Stone; 7 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Kenzi, Kayla, Carson, Callen, Graysen and Nolan; 3 sisters, Maxine Cagle, Neldean Emerson, and Jo Sloan; and 2 brothers, Bobby Shotts and Talmadge “Buster” Shotts.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Sanctuary in care of Andy and Kathy Stone 7162 County Hwy. 13, Hamilton, AL 35570.

Hackleburg, AL – Ms. Dottie Ingle, age 82, of Hackleburg, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at her residence.

Joan Terry, age 69 of Hamilton, Alabama passed away Monday, December 11th, 2017 at her residence.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday December 14th, 2017 at 11:00 am at the chapel with burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery.

Survivors: Children: Sherry (Steve) Oak, Mike Castor, Jody Robbins and Robin (Corey) Dryden. Nine Grandchildren, Seven Great-Grandchildren, Sisters: Brenda (Charles) Glancey, Vicky (Terry) Dober, Brothers: Thomas Hall, Scott (Ronda) Bethel, Mother-In-Law: Ivie Terry , Sister-In-Law: Joyce (Phillip) Ingle.

Hamilton, AL – Robert “Bob” Howard Palmer, age 68 of Hamilton, Alabama passed away Monday October 9, 2017 in the Hospice Unit in Tupelo, MS. after a brief illness.
Born January 29, 1949 to the late Robert Howard and Gay Miles Palmer, he had resided in Hamilton, AL. his entire life. He attended Hamilton High School where he excelled on the basketball court. He retired from Hamilton Housing Authority after working 25 years in the maintenance department. He was known for his game of pool and playing a heated game of darts. He was an avid fisherman and never got tired of showing all of his fishing pictures. He also enjoyed a good hunting trip with his buddies. He will always be remembered as a jokester and one would always need to be careful when shaking his hand. On the weekends he could be found watching Alabama Football or NASCAR racing. It was always an adventure with Bob,
His is survived by his Wife of 30 years Linda Tarwater Palmer, Daughter; Anna Palmer Gilmore (Jonathan), of Dothan, AL., Stepson: Jeffrey Miller (Brandy) of Madison, AL., Grandchildren: Leighton(8), Landry (5), Kendal (13), Austin (13) and another granddaughter arriving in December. Brother: Billy Douglas Palmer (Jenny) of Guntersville, AL.
A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
