Personal note from author: This was my oldest sister. I will miss her so much! Although she married when I was two years old and I don’t remember her being at home with the family, we were close always. She worked at Munsingwear for many years, having been one of the first 12 employees hired to work there.  When she was younger, it was nothing for her to help put a roof on a house or plow a garden…She worked hard. I admired her very much as well as loving her dearly. She and I shared a love of ancestry, she worked at it constantly and kept meticulous records in books. I worked little at it compared to her. Mostly my records were online searches. The only way to end this note is to say, “Love you Bernie and I’ll see you soon!”
