Hamilton, AL – Mr. Maxie Sims, age 74, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Saturday, February 14th, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Memorial service, Monday, 2:00 p.m., at the Hamilton First Baptist Church in Hamilton, Alabama.

Mr. Sims is survived by his wife Ann Sims; children, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Thurman Sims, Sr., and Jesma Mae Boyette Sims; and brother, Elbert Thurman “E.T. Sims, Jr.

Ms. Margaret Shirlene Lindsey Posey, age 74, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Sunday, August 26th, 2012, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 28th, 2012, at the Hamilton First United Methodist Church in Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29th, 2012, at the church.  Burial in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hamilton/Weston, Marion County, Alabama.

Ms. Posey was born January 19th, 1938, to the late Howard and Mellie Stone Lindsey.  She was retired but had worked for many years at Munsingwear, Inc. in Hamilton, Alabama.

She is survived by her husband, E.J. Posey; 2 daughters, Bonita (Alan) Schulman, and Eugenia Alvis; and 1 son, Kevin Posey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mellie Stone Lindsey.
