Winfield, AL – Ms. Faye Mixon Duncan, age 87, of Winfield, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, February 1st, 2017, in the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin, Alabama.
Visitation, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4th, 2017, McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home in Winfield, Alabama. Funeral service, 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4th, 2017, at the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home in Winfield, Alabama, following visitation. Venlon Bradford officiating. Burial in Webb Cemetery in Lamar County, Alabama.
Ms. Duncan was born on June 15th, 1929, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Dewey Washington Mixon and Addie Adeline Morrow Mixon. She was a resident of Lamar County, Alabama most of her life and had lived in Winfield, Alabama since 2000. She was the widow of the late Johnnie Duncan and she was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Winfield, Alabama.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Nina Duncan (Gerald) Busha of Winfield, AL., and Beverly Duncan of St. Petersburg, FL.; 3 grandchildren, Amy Younce, Amber Busha and Gerald Busha, Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren, Alexis and Hunter Busha, Garrett Phillips, and Marlin Younce; 1 brother, Dewey (Bonnie) Mixon, Jr. of Prattville, AL.; nephews, Ronnie Duncan, Darrell Mixon, Darwin Mixon, and Daniel Mixon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Duncan; her parents, Dewey Washington Mixon and Addie Adeline Morrow Mixon; and her sister, Dorothy Gray Duncan.
