Born:  March 6, 1932, in Sulligent, Alabama to the late Felix Whitehead and Cordie Dodd Whitehead.  She attended Pine Springs School.  Jean previously worked at McCoy Manufacturing and Healthtex.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Jean was a member of Taylor Springs Freewill Baptist Church.

Died:  Saturday, November 23, 2019, at her residence.

Visitation:  2:00 – 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2019, at the Otts Funeral Home in Sulligent, Alabama.

Funeral Service:  3:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, following visitation, at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial:  New Hope Cemetery.

Visitation:  6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019, at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Marion County, Alabama.

Funeral Service:  11:00 a.m. Sunday, October 27, 2019, at the church.

Following the service, Vickey will be transferred to Hamilton, AL where another service will be held in her honor for her family there, and where she will be laid to rest beside her mother at New Hope Free Will Baptist Cemetery.)*
