Addison, AL – Wendell Eldridge Pigg, age 75, of Addison, Alabama passed away Monday, September 17th, 2018 at the Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Visitation, 1:00 -2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at the Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., following visitation, at the funeral home. Minister Darlene Hudgins officiating.  Burial in Sardis Baptist Church No. 2 Cemetery.

Wendell was born on March 7th, 1943, in Cullman County, Alabama to the late John and Audie Pigg. He worked on a river boat and as an escort driver.  He was affectionately known as “Wink”.  Wendell loved his dogs and passing time with friends.

Wendell is survived by 1 son, David (Lisa) Pigg; 1 daughter, Sandy Pigg Taylor; 1 brother, Cecil Pigg; 6 grandchildren, Kayla, Alex, and Kimberly Taylor, Jacob Pigg, Zachary and Patrick Darnell; 3 great-grandchildren, Bentley, Madisyn, and Brinlyn Darnell; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Audie Pigg; 1 brother, Buck Pigg; and 1 sister, Louise Pigg.

Haleyville, AL – Larry Quinton Tidwell, age 75, of Haleyville, Alabama, formerly of Bear Creek, Alabama, passed away Monday, September 10th, 2018.

Visitation, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12th, 2018 at the Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service, 3:00 p.m., following visitation, at the funeral home. Wayne Phillips officiating. Burial in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Tidwell was born November 29th, 1942 in Bear Creek, Alabama to the late Quinton and Lexie Tidwell. He was a graduate of Phillips High School in Bear Creek, Alabama and a member of Mountain Home Church of Christ.

Larry is survived by his nephews, Barry (Tammy) Tidwell, and Brent (Cherelle) Tidwell; and a host other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Quinton and Lexie Tidwell; and brother, Don Tidwell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Larry’s honor to: Mountain Home Church of Christ, 10978 State Highway 241, Bear Creek, AL 35543.

Double Springs, AL – Jennifer Lynn Boykin Vickery, age 62, of Double Springs, Alabama, passed away June 23rd, 2018, at Walker Baptist Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Mrs. Vickery was born February 15th, 1956 in Athens, Alabama to the late Joe and Pauline Boykin. Lynn graduated from Winston County High School in 1975. She was dispatcher 6701 for the Winston County Sheriff’s office for the last 17 years and during this time received Dispatcher of the Year Award twice. Lynn was a member of Fraternal Order of Police. She loved spending time with her friends and was an avid Auburn fan. “WAR EAGLE”.

Visitation, Sunday, June 24th, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, Alabama. Funeral service, Monday, June 25th, 2018 at 4:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Reverend Michael Tidwell, officiating. Burial in Whitehouse Cemetery in Brilliant, Alabama.

Lynn is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Joe Vickery; brothers, Tony Boykin and his wife Carol, and Mike Boykin and his wife Natalie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Pauline Boykin.

Pallbearers are Police Officers: Les Abbott, Josh Silas, Greg Rooks, Levi Brown, Derreck Cagle, and Jon Tidwell.

Honorary Pallbearers, representatives of the Winston County Sheriff Office, Double Springs Police Department, Haleyville Police Department, Addison Police Department, Arley Police Department, Lynn Police Department, Winston County Firefighters, and EMS Personnel.

Family requests donations be made to Whitehouse Cemetery fund.

Double Springs, AL – Ms. Martha Gladys Cagle Gray, age 102, of Double Springs, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, November 24th, 2015, at her residence.

Visitation, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday, November 27th, 2015, at the Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, Alabama.  Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28th, 2015, at the funeral home.  Bro. Daniel Gann officiating.  Burial in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Gray was born October 16th, 1913, in Double Springs, Alabama, to the late Albert and Louisa Sutton Cagle. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church for 70 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Jones, and Margie (Phillip) Ballard; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Gray; parents, Albert and Louisa Sutton Cagle; 1 son, Arlis Gray; and 1 grand-daughter, Patricia Kay Gray.

Son­nie is sur­vived by his wife of 29 years, Ovalee Hood; 1 broth­er, Gary Wayne (Debra) Hood; and 1 sist­er, Wanda Fay Lawl­er.

He was pre­ceded in death by his parents, Eut­hel Orden and Eugie Pearl Hood; and 1 broth­er-in-law, Douglas Lawl­er.*

Ms. Lottie Charline Tate, age 85, of Bear Creek, Alabama, passed away Friday, December 28th, 2012, at her residence.

Ms. Tate was born March 29th, 1927, in Winfield, Alabama to the late Luther and Velma Webb.

Visitation, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 4th, 2013, at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, Alabama.  Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5th, 2013.   Brother Ricky White officiating.    Burial in Myers Hill Baptist Church cemetery.

Ms. Tate is survived by her sons, Curtis Tate Jr., Charles (Mary) Tate; and sister, Pauline Hollis. She was “Granny” to 10 grandchildren, Holly, Larry, Tony, Nathan, Christopher, Aric, Ricky, Christy, Sherry, and Bobby; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Tate; 1 son, Curtis Lee Tate; 2 daughters, Sandra Kay Tyler, and Shirley Ann Pickle; 1 granddaughter, Kyann Baccus; 1 great-granddaughter, Natalie Williamson; and her parents, Luther and Velma Webb.
