Funeral Service:  5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 23, following visitation, at the funeral home.

Burial:  North Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win AL.

She graduated from Bevill State Community College in Hamilton earning her L.P.N. in nursing.  While living in Texas, she enjoyed showing Arabian horses/  She loved reading her Bible and she loved her family, dogs, and animals of all kinds.*

Guin, AL – Ms. Estelle Crow Evans, age 88, of Guin, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, January 31st, 2017, in the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin, Alabama.

Visitation, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 3rd, 2017, at the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel in Guin, Alabama.   Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home, following visitation.  Burial in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win, Marion County, Alabama.

Ms. Evans was probably born in 1928.

Danny Millican officiating.  Burial in the Northwest Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win, Alabama.  Pallbearers, Christopher Shawn Franks, Northpoint, AL., Jason Franks, Hubbertville, AL., Caleb Franks, Northport, AL., Seth Franks, Northport, AL., William Brand, Fayette, AL. and David Brand, Fayette, AL.

Ms. Franks was born October 18th, 1924, to the late William and Rosie Tidwell Chambless.  She was a housewife and attended school in Fayette, Alabama.  She lived on Colony Street in Winfield, Alabama for the last 40 years.  Bessie was an avid gardener and loved to participate in the home shopping network from Hamilton on WMTY TV.  She was a member of the Baptist Church at Gu-win, Alabama.

She is survived by 1 son, Ronald G. (Doris) Franks, Fargo, N.D.; 1 daughter, Cathy (Mike) Cannon, Beaverton, AL.; 3 grandsons, Shawn, Jason and Matt Franks; and several great-grandchildren; Joe Herron, long time and close friend; 2 sisters, Magdelene Brand, and Luvernia Hassle, both of Fayette, AL.; 2 brothers, Delmus Chambless of Guin, AL., and B. C. Chambless of Mississippi; 3 step-siblings, Justin, Tommy, and Teddy Chambless, all of Fayette, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rosie Tidwell Chambless; and her late husband Eugene Franks.
