Sulligent, AL – Ms. Dorothy Sue Norton, age 83, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away Monday, June 2nd, 2014, in Winfield, Alabama.  Ms. Norton was born April 6th, 1931, in Columbus, Mississippi.

Mr. Hubert Harold Noe, age 86, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, April 17th, 2013, at Generations of Vernon.

Visitation, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 19th, 2013, at the Norwood Funeral Home in Sulligent, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20th, 2013 at the Norwood Funeral Home in Sulligent. Bro. Roger Redus officiating. Burial in the Pine Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Noe was born July 1st, 1926 in Jefferson County, Alabama to the late Hubert Cleveland and Irma Prothro Noe. He was a member of Crews United Methodist Church and served in the United States Army during World War II. He had lived in the Sulligent area for the past 20 years and had worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a sorter. He enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles.*

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Green Noe, Sulligent, AL.; 1 sister, Mary Alice Ford, Greenwood Springs, MS.; 1 brother, Glenn C. Noe, Sulligent, AL.; 1 granddaughter, Ashton; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Cleveland and Irma Prothro Noe; 1 son, Don Noe; and 1 daughter, Rita Gail Noe.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Crews Methodist Church Building Fund.
