Mr. Jimmy Leon Smith
, age 73, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away Friday, January 11th, 2013, at his residence.

Visitation, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12th, 2013, at the Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville, Alabama.  Funeral, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12th, 2013, following visitation, at the Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville, Alabama.  Burial in Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville, Franklin County, Alabama.

He is survived by 2 sons, Rodney (Kesli) Smith, and Wayne (Keyna) Smith; 5 grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Jaxon Smith, Kendra Tittle, Jordan Mayfield, and Justin Reynolds; 4 great-grandchildren, Lexi, Lily, Malachi, and Livy; 1 sister, Peggy Sledge; 1 brother-in-law, Charles (Kay) Fuller; 4 nieces and nephews, Tommy Sledge, Randy Sledge, Kelly Jo Fuller, and Michael Fuller.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Betty Fuller Smith; his father, Leon E. Smith; and his mother, Velma Malone Smith.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, nurses, and staff, Dr. Brian Cole, and his nurse, Lisa for the love and care of our dad.*

usvetflagMr. Billy Wilson Driver, age 83, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, January 1st, 2013, at his residence.

Visitation, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 4th, 2013, at the Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville, Alabama.  Memorial service, 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 4th, 2013, at the Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville, following visitation.  Bobby Bolton officiating.

Mr. Driver was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Southerland DRR-743, and was a Korean Combat Veteran.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Dawn Rozeboom, Bolingbrook, IL.; 2 grandchildren, Brittney Rozeboom, and Benjamin Rozeboom; 1 sister-in-law, Linda James Driver; special cousins, Robert Bentley, Bobby (Mary Nell) McWilliams, Roy Nagle, Harold Malone, and Ray Malone; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben & Mary Lenice Driver; and 3 brothers, James David Driver, Ben “Buddy” Driver, and Harry Joe Driver.

Ms. Mary Aurellia Bowling, age 67, of Russellville, Alabama passed away Saturday, January 05, 2013 at ECM Hospital.

Visitation, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8th, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with a rosary prayer service following at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Russellville, Alabama.  Father Jim Hedderman, officiating. Burial in Franklin Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers, Dale Montgomery, Garry Bowling, Denzel Martin, Ken Bowling, Don Bowling, David Bowling, Jack Dugan, and Dr. Dante Gapultos. The honorary pallbearers, Dr. Lyman Mitchell, Jr., Dr. Felix Morris, Dr. Theresa Lango, Dr. Edsel Holden, and Dr. Rao Boorgu.

Mary was a charter member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She loved her Auburn tigers. She loved her flowers, especially roses. In memory of Mary, please plant a rose to remember her by.

She is survived by 1 sister, Kaye (Preston) Hillis, Florence, AL.; 1 sister-in-law, Alma Bowling, Russellville, AL.; 3 nephews, Jeff (Nancy) Bowling, Russellville, AL., Patrick (Mary Elizabeth) Hillis, Decatur, AL., and Robbie (Misty) Hillis, Florence, AL.; 4 great-nieces & great-nephews, Mary Kate & Mac Hillis, Decatur, AL., Ben & Lydia Hillis, Florence, AL.; loving aunts & uncles, special cousins; and very special friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Nevon & Stella Bowling; 1 brother, Tim Bowling; and 1 great-niece, Amelia Hillis.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful, loving nurses at ECM Hospital, especially the ICU and 3rd floor.
