Hamilton, AL – Mr. Clifton “Pap” Franklin, age 80, of Vina, Alabama, passed away Wednesday February 17th, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Hamilton, Alabama.

Visitation,6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday February 19th, 2016, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama.  Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday February 20th, 2016, at Fairview Freewill Baptist Church.  Jamie Jeffreys and Jack Harder officiating.  Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.

Mr. Franklin is survived by his wife, Betty Franklin; children, Beth (Sam) Wilson, Pam (David) Humphres, and Ben (Angie) Franklin; 5 grandchildren, Kevin (Bobbi) Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Justin (Chelsea) Humphres, Jordan Humphres, and Connar Frankilin; 3 great-grandchildren, Sadie Wilson, Lydia Humphres, and Laney Humphres, brothers and sisters, D. W. Franklin, Jean Emerson, Roland Shotts, Jimmy Shotts, and Betty Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Franklin and Gerthie Shotts; step-father, Clyde Shotts; 1 son, Sam Franklin; and 1 brother, Denford Franklin.

Visitation, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22nd, 2013, at the Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay, Alabama.  Funeral service, 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22nd, 2013, at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, Alabama.  Bro. Gary Puckett and Bro. Brian Sutton officiating.  Burial in Shottsville Cemetery, in the Shottsville Community, Marion County, Alabama.

Mr. Griffus was born December 25th, 1922, in Marion County, Alabama.  He was a farmer and a member of the Red Bay Church of God.

He is survived by 4 children, Shirley Juanell Michael, Vina, AL., Robby Ray (Teresa) Griffus, Greenhill, AL., Janette “Jan” Griffus Sutton, Florence, AL., and Jackie Waymon Griffus, Red Bay, AL.; 5 grandchildren, Brian Sutton, Jason Sutton, Cyndy Cohen, Tisha Vanderbeck, and Mikey Michael; 5 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Will, MaKayla, Kennan and Zoe; and 1 sister, Victoria Duncan, of MI.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby J. Emerson Griffus; and 7 brothers and sisters, Lonar, Myrtle, Micky, Minerva Jane, Bryce, Victor, and Marlon.

Mr. Ruble Lee Mills, age 71, of Vina, Shottsville Community, Alabama, formerly of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Sunday, March 17th, 2013, at the Red Bay Hospital in Red Bay, Alabama.

Visitation, 12:00 – 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20th, 2013, at Shottsville Methodist Church.  Funeral service, 3:00 p.m., following visitation, at the church.  Buster Timmons, officiating.  Burial in Shottsville Cemetery with full military honors.

Mr. Mills was born August 16th, 1941, in Hamilton, Alabama, to the late David and Nettie Duncan Mills.  He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1961 and married LaVale Kennedy September 25th, 1965.  He served 38 years in the military and retired in 1998.  He was an avid “TIDE” fan.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, LaVale Kennedy Mills, Shottsville Community; 2 daughters, Michelle Lee Mills, Hamilton, AL., and Dawn Mills (Matt) Wilemon, Red Bay, AL.; 2 grandchildren, Anna Caroline Wilemon and Kennedy Lee Wilemon, both of Red Bay, AL.; 1 brother, Loy (Ann) Mills, Palmyra, MI.; 3 sisters, Lois Tyree, Brilliant, AL., Louise Norris, Hamilton, AL., and Jean McCarley, Hamilton, AL.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Nettie Duncan Mills; 1 brother, Foy Lee Mills; his mother-in-law, Estelle Kennedy; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pope Mills, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Duncan.
