Katherine “Kathy” Duke Truss of Walls, Mississippi and formerly of Hamilton, Alabama (Known affectionately to her 1961 Classmates from Hamilton High School as “Kat” Duke)
Age: 75
Born: January 14, 1944, in Hamilton, Alabama to the late Morris Duke and Addie Lee Duncan Duke.
Died: November 13, 2019.
Visitation: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Hernando Funeral Home in Hernando, Mississippi.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, following visitation, at the Hernando Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment: Autumn Woods Memorial Park, 6240 Davidson Road, Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Husband: Arthur Larry Truss of Walls, MS.
Daughter: Elizabeth Burgess (Trey) of Charlotte, N.C.
Son: Gary Mixon of Hamilton, AL.
Sister: Margarete Smith of Lexington, AL.
Brother: J.O. Duke of Hamilton, AL.

Bio: Kathy “Kat” was retired from The Daily Journal in Tupelo, Mississippi as an advertising director and The Baldwin News as a publisher. She also worked as an administrative assistant for the Desoto County Schools system. She was a member of Redemption Church in Hernando, Mississippi. She was a member of the Hamilton High School Class of 1961 in Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.
