Ms. Sarah Ann Mobley, age 92, of Guin, Alabama, passed away in Mobile, Alabama on the evening of December 20th, 2012.
Visitation, 12:00 p.m. (noon) – 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2012, Guin First Baptist Church, Guin, Alabama. Funeral service, Thursday, December 27th, 2012 at the Guin First Baptist Church in Guin, Alabama. Burial in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens, Gu-Win, Alabama. Hubert Junkin, Don Jones, Bro. Scott Stokes and Bro. Don Graham officiating.
Ms. Mobley was born June 16,1920 in Franklin, Tennessee to the late Rev. James E. and Alice Gertrude Green McCluney, and the Wife of the late Claudie Lee Mobley to whom she was married for 51 years. She spent 43 years teaching in Marion County with the majority of her time at Marion County High School in Guin, Alabama, where she served as Beta Club Sponsor and also State Beta Club Sponsor. She was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, James L. (Laurie) Mobley, Mobile, AL.; 2 granddaughters, Jennifer (Jason) Harris, Denham Springs, LA.; Melinda Mobley Gant, Mobile, AL.; 3 great-grandchildren, Madalyn and Gabrielle Harris, and Hayden Gant; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. James E. and Alice Gertrude Green McCluney; her husband, Claudie Lee Mobley; and 1 brother, George McCluney.
