Hamilton, AL – Ms. Jewel Cox Ballard, age 88, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Saturday, December 17th, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Hamilton, Alabama.
Visitation, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 19th, 2016, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama. Funeral, 1:00 p.m., at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama. Bro. Mike Lindley and Rev. Ronald Dillard officiating.
Ms. Ballard is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Mike) Lindley, and Lynda (Gene) Webb; son, Larry (Darlene) Ballard; grandchildren, Shannon Webb, Amy Dillard, Zac Shotts, Brandy Shotts, Rhea Brinkley, Jessica Woodard, Leah Byrd Johnson, and Lance Byrd; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Willie Kathrine Cox; her husband, Fred Ballard, and daughter, Carolyn Ballard Byrd.
